179's RS3L sounds pretty much exactly like my RS3L. Loud 44 bell with the occasional voice crack from the 25 bell. Love it!

I was down in La Verne,ca a few years ago around 8-10pm and I heard same horn. It can echo so far that it can be heard down at the I-10/CA-57 junction
