I have this but the error is on the diagnostics computer not on the dash (Vacuum System Fine Leak - Cooling System Fault) 🤔 so thinking I need a new water pump. Porsche are quoting £1500 (£350 parts and 5 hours labour) to replace water pump and £320 diagnostics to make sure it’s nothing else, crazy.

A very professional approach to this job indeed.From what I see all Porsche models are dealt with including the classic air cooled stuff.

What was cost for replacement?

Worked perfectly. There may be a bit of sticky residue on the faceplate at the top or bottom of the switch opening, check for and clean this with a bit of alcohol before reassembling so that it doesn’t transfer to the new switches.

Outstanding and descriptive video regarding the wheel alignment for 987.1. I use a string box method, but the sequence (and emphasis on the rear end are fundamentally the same). I was hoping there would be some Porsche GT3 or Tarret type adjustable lower control arms or other bushings installed.

Hi, if I correctly understood your was already equipment with PSE. So you have already a solenoid for exhaust. But on my 987 S 2006 I don't have PSE. Where can I take +12Volt and vacuum connection ?

greetings, I have replaced my water pump and I was curious to know what other O rings/pipes/systems you replaced that you didn't mention... can you ellaborate on what else you replaced? I replaced my water pump and thermostat, but I am still topping off my coolant 2 days later, I can't help but feel it's either purging all the air out or It's still leaking. no drip, no pooling, dry garage floor. Help please! I can't seem to find that part that you mentioned the "coolant pump solenoid"

how can i get one of these and do you do these for the Porsche 987S?

there are many 911's / Caymans/Boxters that have this or will have this issue. Dealers and private sellers are turning a blind eye and hoping they can pass this issue on to unsuspecting new owners in the future. Since many of these cars aren't driven alot of miles each year, this is a train wreck waiting to happen in the future.

I did this to repair/replace the little plastic gears. I took out the clock first which allowed me access to the body of the speedo. You can then push the speedo out with your (small) hand inserted towards the left of the clock's hole.

I have just installed mine today..... advice..... I spent 4 hours installingrs trying to find out why it was not working.... in the end was simple because the central black box was not properly connected................... 2 hours to get it..... so, double check the connector before installing it.... my 2 cents...............

Hi. La Rose. Are the drain holes in the 997 cab accessible without the top being lowered into the service position? My top at this time has suffered a malfunction of the passenger side hinge and motor and cannot be lowered. What i did was remove the rear wheels and arch liners, remove the rubber drain bungs and cleared the drains in reverse upward with a 2.5 ft rubber coated wire drain cleaner by penatrating the drain upward from within the arch liner & up into the cabin. I did get some water to drain from both arches. Is there another method that I could employ? Thanks much for any advice my friend. Definitely appreciated by me. Rodd.

For anyone doing this, the black plastic plungers in the switches must go back in from the switch side, not the back side. Ask me how I know 😅 Another trick is to use tweezers to expand the white tabs outward to get them out.

i don't have that issue but i sometimes have a terrible time getting my 2007 boxster into reverse. any ideas?

What module is under the drivers seat in that car. I know that the Bose amp is under the passenger seat. My Amp got wet and I need to find a replacement. I assume the module under the drivers got wet as well. My PCM is screwed up, spoiler came up and won't go down. Taillights stay on. Loved the video.
