Kessil will no longer get my money. After many Kessil's I purchased over the years for my reef tank, they have failed within three years. I was denied warranty many times and as a result Kessil is lucky I didn't contact the better business bureau. There shady business practices and rude customer service has made me switch to amazon for a cheaper alternative. BRS needs to reavaluate there partnership with Kessil and offer more affordable options with enhanced reliabilty.

As mentioned, no built in wifi no purchase. I also can't believe your showcasing a non aperture owned light. I hope yall can break away from them and restore what was a great company.

What do you mean by non aperture owned? Sorry I am no native speaker.

I like that fact. But you can use the dongle for Wi-Fi. I want to use my phone as little as possible. But I understand a lot of people like that sort of thing
@ThomasBReef4 күн бұрын
Wifi is available, just not included because it isn't necessary. Is it a nice feature to have? Sure can be! But I just don't think having to pick up a wifi dongle separately, if you actually want to use it, is a reason to avoid a light. There are so many other reasons that actually make a big difference to performance, like spectrum and optics, that should be at the top of the list!
@terranncegilmore4 күн бұрын
@@ThomasBReef for an extra expense. Hydras have had this as an onboard option for years. I'm a Kessil owner, and love them, but this is a silly exclusion of features
@ThomasBReef4 күн бұрын
@terranncegilmore I think we also have to assume that if they built it into the fixture, the price would increase, at least partially (less the cost of the plastic housing and extra packaging I'd hope) but I bet they'd also have to increase the size of the fixture to accommodate the extra board. Also worth noting one dongle works for multiple lights as long as they are linked via K-link cables vs having a wifi chip in each fixture. Who knows, kessil may turn around and add it in on the next generation of pendant lighting. I will say your complaint is a very common one that I hear!

I use the slam dunk method for my fish as I do with my coral. Any broken coral or rock in the display during the process makes for easy frags later.

I think the best way to wash your hands, is to do water and soap scrub, then rinse off really good, then take a cup of tank water and scrub your hands in that. The tank water from the cup goes down the drain after.
@ScenOne6 күн бұрын
no one ever tells you about how you can use full spectrum LEDs for plants that cost 1/4 to 1/5 the price and can be adjusted to give you the underwater rave look everyone wants. First recommendation for beginner light he gives is a $600 compact fixture....

I used to work at a fish store and I used to clean the tanks, my boss would have me clean it a little too good and the emerald crabs didn't have anything to eat so I would get hair algae out of some of the other salt water tanks so they didn't starve or start cannibalizing each other

What I love best about these fish is they will eat anything! Never had a problem feeding pellets! I dont think my pellets have veggies though! I am glad you showed some options that do!
