There is no such rank as "Master." It is a title given to a Sifu within a given Pai. Typical toothpick thin, weak, "stick boy" who has never been in a fight in his life and can't fight to save his life. What a joke. Thanks for the laugh.

If you don't like this, then why are you here? Perhaps you are Racist against Chinese people, so you look for reasons to insult them? You should know that prejudices such as Racism can blind a person so that they can't make good decisions. I hope you can grow as a person and learn to make good decisions.

"Chinese Taiji", well, is there also western Taiji? Yes! The Taiji-Body is thousands of years old and is also known in the west. What is Taiji? How to train it? Well, Hong Junsheng was very precise: practice the circle! What is the circle? Well, it is the circle! What do you think, was Bruce Lee a Taiji Master?

Taiji and Shaolin are two very different Kungfu systems. Shaolin is in Henan but Taiji is not, though one of the styles, Chen style, is from Henan. Wudang, which is in Hubei, claims to the origin of Taiji and internal martial arts.

Waoh, what an amazing trip! I know for sure, this is exactly the trip I had in Henan 3 weeks ago 😄! I was in China for work so I only had a bit of time but basically I left from Shanghai and went to Luoyang by train, visited Shaolin 1 day: Temple, Bodhidarma trek up to his cave, cable cars high in the mountains for a fantastic very long trek to a monastry. 1 day in Luoyang Longmen grottoes: the entrance of Buddhism in China sculpted in rock, fantastic art work! Then I headed to Chenjiagou and stayed 2 days at Master ChenBing Academy, fantastic energy there, I had excellent lessons and contacts with the teachers and the students. I had only 4 days in Henan but they were so intense and fullfilling. Looking forward to do it again and share it with friends and family. In case anyone is interested, I have cools videos and pictures of it.

Does it really matter where or how Taijiquan originated? Whether one agrees with master Chen Bing or not, it is a personal choice. Does it really matter if one agrees or not? I've never met this modern day master/teacher, but there is no doubting his ability and his very calm demeanour. Those two things alone, for me at least, are what really matter. Of course, he is not the only one with high level of Taijiquan skills, but anyone learning from him directly should consider themselves very fortunate. At some point, no matter who one's teacher is, the only thing that really matters is one's own practice, both solo and with others, and what you do with it. As a famous martial arts film star once said: "It's like a finger pointing away to the moon. Don't concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory."

An excellent and clear demonstration with some great tips to be aware of when practising. I'm only just starting to learn the principles, but not the form, so this video is very helpful. Thank you for sharing.

Not so much skill. He's overpowering his partner, doesn't set him up with traps. Not really timing with his partners step, so it's just pulling and muscle'ing his opponent because he can. This is an example of bad practice. Nobody is learning anything or getting better skills. Only getting more injuries and making bad habits
@charlesbetancourt73372 жыл бұрын
He's beaten opponents bigger and stronger than him.

Setting up traps and timing steps is how judo or shuai jiao players do it, here he is reacting skillfully to shifts in balance and structure, and producing clean torque/power (Jin) to throw his opponent/student, which is what taijiquan is about.
