Stumbled upon your channel. My husband & I are also thinking about this particular area for the slower life instead of KL, also the visa for retirement are definitely cheaper. Are you both still thinking of this area for settling? 😊

most of the public toilet in malaysia are free, very rare toilets comes with payment, unlesss is super highclass places or super low class places that is too hard to find a toilet.😂

We left Sarande several weeks ago. We really enjoyed it and totally agree with you assessment. Sarande is working hard on the tourist image so to speak. Doing new sidewalks and building more but they have a few years to go. We are not big beach people but wouldn't mind spending a couple months here. We also took a day trip to the Castle and the Blue Eye. I would recommend a private taxi. Ryan spoke English and drove us around to see the sites and spend the whole day at the castle, town and the blue eye. He only charged 60 US so it was a nice comfortable and fun trip. We do love Albania and will want to come back.

Thanks for sharing about your time in Sarande, it seems like we had similar experiences. It's good to hear about the improvements that are being made, we'll need to go back again sometime in the future!

Yes! I've been waiting for your Sarande video. I don't care if Sarande is a little more costly than other Albanian cities. I don't really know if there is any allure for me to stay in those places. The allure is there to live in the beach community of Sarande though. It's still much less costly than other European beach cities.

Thanks for the review! As someone facing and prepping for retirement, the Vietnam option does not sound encouraging, what with lack of residency visas and the ambiguous healthcare situation. But it certainly sounds worthy of tourist side trip.

I've lived in sunny southern California for 35 years. The beach during the day is my very least favorite place to be, aside from skid row in downtown Los Angeles. I can understand if you're coming from England or Scandanavia or St Petersburg why spending the day at the beach feels good.

COULD I LIVE COMFORTABLY ON SS????????????
@snailtravelers13 күн бұрын
Yes, probably, but it depends on the amount of SS and the lifestyle that you would live in Vietnam. You would also need to factor in visa runs (you would need to leave Vietnam every 90 days because of the visa rules) and visa expenses.

How can you say animals are well looked after? The reason there are so many stray animals is because they get dumped on the street then get pregnant as most Turks don't neuter. It's mainly ex pats who try to look after them

Malaysia is the most loved country in Asia as it ranks high on all metrics considered in Insider Monkey 2024 research. It is the sixth most democratic country on the continent. Moreover, it is the fifth most visited country in Asia, welcoming over 10 million travelers in 2022. People head to the Southeast Asian country to not just get an experience of its stunning beaches and posh city life, but also explore the local culture and tradition, which is enriched by hospitable and friendly locals.
