@@HristoVitchev I ain't gonna lie , I'm not a deep theory guy but I love what I'm hearing... Can you break it down into a digestible form for us theory challenged folks ?
@HristoVitchev2 ай бұрын
@@g-love6507 these are basically phrases that are constructed by the interval of a 4th primarily and also use many parallel perfect 4ths that contains tension notes agains each chord but then resolve in a smooth way to chord tones over each harmony. It is a way to create melodic tension and contrast over any given sonority.

I am a little unsure of your book format method. I am interested in working with the James bridge. I'd also like to work with some more applications to soloing generally. Does the James material also appear in your larger subject book?

This little melodic study is only an exemplification as to how I apply all the materials from the main Chromatic Methenyisms books over tune forms.

@Hristo, what string gauges are you using on that beautiful guitar? I'm re-evaluating what gauges I'm using on various guitars. I've had some idea that heavy strings are what the cool kids use, but sometimes 10s seem to feel better. Similar issues w/ wound vs unwound G.
@HristoVitchev4 ай бұрын
I use .12 gauge D’Addario XL or NYXL round-wounds.
