I’m 54 Pete rose was my all time favorite player but Barry bonds was the greatest hitter I’ve ever seen the year he hit 70 plus home runs he maybe had 80 pitches to hit most amazing thing I ever saw in baseball

At this point, the baseball HOF is a joke if the leader in HRs and leader in hits are both left out.

A great player but a terrible dude. He took being an asshole to a whole new level. It's actually quite sad because he should be celebrate on the level of MJ

So really what I learned from this is that he should have even more MVPs lol. This dude will never be surpassed. Idc if he roided or not. Baseball was at a low before steroids. Barry Bonds was the greatest player in any era. He played in the steroid era, and was the greatest then. I think that proves he's the best lol.

Batted.197, even below the Mendoza Line, and struck out 215 times in 2023. Batted. 218 and struck out 200 times in 2022. Can't field to save his life. Yet many act like he's Tony Gwynn. 🙄 Can hit the long ball at times, but that's one dimensional. It's the only reason he's a DH. I don't understand why many praise this guy.

Dodgers are just smarter and very forward-thinking. Sure, they have money, but they also draft and trade circles around other organizations. Dodgers always had the best farm system, hence the reason they've won the most ROY awards in MLB history. When they do spend money, it always seems to be well spent. They're not like the Padres and Mets blowing mountains of money just to miss the playoffs. 😂

Ok we rangers fans just traded for and signed a few free agents I’ll agree on that but…doesn’t every MLB “blue blood”“buy” a few players and when those blue bloods do “buy” players and win a championship…NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THEM BUYING A CHAMPIONSHIP so quit with this shit we just know how to build a team tho free agency and trades and the draft

They supposedly “bought a World Series” but they were not even top 5 in team payroll. The top team spent 75% more than they spent (353m to 193m). They ranked 9th in the league in 2023. MLB team playrolls in 2023 N.Y. Mets, $353,546,854 N.Y. Yankees, $276,999,872 San Diego, $248,995,932 Philadelphia, $243,009,439 L.A. Dodgers, $222,717,834 L.A. Angels, $212,228,096 Toronto, $ 209,938,983 Atlanta, $203,077,500 Texas, $195,869,490

Love the video. The reason I imagine some fans are a little reflexive about the title is because after the WS, we kept seeing some Astros fans using this term “bought a World Series” in a patronizing tone. Trying to delegitimize our title compared to theirs. Even though literally every big team in the MLB signs big free agents and has a high payroll. I believe the Astros had a higher payroll than we did last year. Anyway I hate that nonsense. It’s usually hypocritical and contradictory. I also hate when people make excuses for owners to be cheap bastards. They say a salary cap would make the league more competitive and maybe so--but mainly it just gives the owners a pass to be cheap first and foremost. Owners spending money would also make the league more competitive and the Rangers are proof of that! They already get tax dollars to build their f’ing stadiums, the least they could do is pay to field a good team.
@InDepthBaseballYT3 ай бұрын
I think the term bought has a pretty bad tone in baseball when in reality orgs spending and investing in their rosters should be praised

Title is clickbait and doesn't reflect what the rangers did. Had to watch the whole thing before commenting. There is a difference between buying and investing. Rangers did not BUY their way to a wirld series, they invested for multiple. I dont think the Dodgers will win it 24 but they will in the next 4 years unless a freak accident happens.
@joshuapatrick6823 ай бұрын
what happened? They had a virtually identical roster in 22 and 23. The biggest difference? Manager.....

@ianphillips13653 ай бұрын
@@dylan-is8uhIt's a regular season award. Did he manage the team with the 2nd lowest payroll in the league to over 100 wins and a division championship? Or did he just get lucky/hot at the right time since MLB replaced their post season with their own version of the NBA finals?
