Chopin's heart is buried in the Church of the Holy Cross, and his body rests in Paris. His sister fulfilled his last wish. He wanted the heart to be buried in the homeland. His sister brought it in a jar covered with cognac. The Zapiecek restaurant is terrible but unfortunately promoted among tourists. I recommend the Stary Dom restaurant(in the Mokotów district). There are many better places with Polish cuisine on the Royal Route and the Old Town. This building on the castle slope is called the Kubicki Arcades. Future plans include enlarging the gardens. There is an idea to hide the busy Wisłostrada street in a tunnel and recreate the rest of the gardens above it. 10:09 You see the Varso Tower building. It is the tallest building in the EU (310 m). You will be able to see the Palace of Culture and Science from above in the summer of 2025. The building was designed by Foster. He is the author of the London Cucumber and the HSBC building in Hong Kong etc. 16:19 The building across the street is not part of the University. This is the Copernicus Science Center. This is a big attraction for children and teenagers. You should finish your walk along the Royal Route next time. You should visit Łazienki Królewskie Park. It was the summer residence of the last king of Poland, Stanisław August Poniatowski. The route ends in the Wilanów district. This is where the Wilanów Palace is located. It was the summer residence of King Jan III Sobieski. He is the king who defeated the troops of the Ottoman Empire near Vienna in 1683 and thus prevented the Islamization of Europe. His Palace is the only palace not destroyed during World War II. .

The challenge i think is to find the perfect job that gets you paid like you used to in the US, or in my case The Netherlands to pay for this all. Was that an issue for you?

Nice tour; thanks for sharing… One thought to share from my end: I think what’s missing in these clips is a little bit of details around costa, ticket and food prices, hotel qualities and recommendations, etc. it’s also very valuable to give an impression of how local people feel about their quality of life…😊

@garyatkinson5699 hi, yes, income, healthcare, and a criminal check are basically what's required , the Toronto consulate is listing an income of $3500/mo Canadian dollars. It's gone up a little since my visa application.

We've just landed in Riga. We used Bolt, for the first time, and it cost us 14.70 to the old town from the airport. The first driver we talked to at the Bolt drop off point, who was supposed to pick us up, cancelled the Bolt booking. He then started haggling with us trying to push the price up to 20 euro. So we booked a different driver through Bolt.

Thanks for the video! My girlfriend and I are currently living in Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga) where there are many people over 60. We are 28 y/o, can you let us know how if there are many expats our age living in Alicante? We are looking to move either to Torremolinos, Benalmádena or Alicante. We were considering Fuengirola as an option but after watching this video we realized it's not the best choice :)
@TheEmptyMiddleSeatTravel14 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching. The Costa del Sol is full of older North American, UK and northern European expats. The Alicante area has a younger feel to it, a better mix of ages, definitely more people in their 40s along the Costa Blanca.

That's the Johnson Building on Spring Garden (beginning of the vid), and Zellers on Barrington became the Met (Metropolitan). The Paramount had a single screen, but made into a multiplex of 3 in the 70s. Behind the Old Town Clock in the 70s, that's the Chronicle Herald Building pre-Metro Centre. Great vid, thanks!
