Hello. Do you have experienced any problem with installing Add-on on this type of HAOS installation, because I have? Virtually, no matter what I do, a finish with message: "AddonManager.install blocked from execution, no host Internet connection". My system is installed like you suggest in this video on HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Mini with i5, yesterday, so it is up-to-date version. Then I found this commands: ha su repair ha core rebuild ha host reboot tha help me to instal one. Only one Add-on (Advanced SSH & Web Terminal) and after that, above message was back, now stay there, no matter what I done, including above commands, so, the problem is not with network or Internet, because this was not changed at all during this attempts in any aspect. Do you have any idea what I can do to solve this problem?

It sounds like one of the docker containers cannot communicate with your network properly. Have you upgraded to the latest version of supervisor and home assistant?

It would be if the ZigBee radio supported third party devices. I emailed Aqara and they said they have no plans to support third party Zigbee devices. Very disappointing.

I have no idea why they wouldn't support it. That is my three majority of my Zigbee devices are on Zigbee2MQTT. I just keep my newer Aqara devices on the M3.

@@ThisSmartHouse I have all my Zigbee lights on a Hue Bridge with Matter, and all my other Devices on Third Reality's Smart Bridge MZ1. The Proprietary Zigbee is enough to say No to this latest version. Local automation is already possible with Apple Home and Home Assistant.

Nice job covering this. I appreciate the work by you and Aqara. I have the M3 and am looking forward to seeing more videos covering using Matter devices with the M3 and the other way around, plus examples of local automations. Yes, you can control everything via the Govee Home app (via Bluetooth or WiFi). Nothing else required!

That is correct, but I don't believe this is considered a "wet" location as long as you have proper gaskets or sealant. The wire nuts that are included with the light or the ones my builder are also not outdoor rated. Those have to have the "goop" in them. But good call out!

Great review..I've got a bunch of Govee products and was thinking of getting these. Wondering if you could answer a question. I want to use these to replace two exterior door lights. If I was to set them at a white color/brightness setting in the app, then turn them off using the inside wall switch will they turn back on at the same setting? We use the switch on the wall alot this location. Thanks for any help and keep up the good work!

Great question. And I believe I skipped over it in the review. There's an option for power on function. So you can define exactly what happens when the device loses power and its reapplied. You can set it to a specific effect, resume the last effect, or just stay off.

I have a similar setup with mine. I have three external lights and two of them are the govie. I just replaced the third with a smart bulb and I have a button inside I can use to trigger them all to turn on.

What happens if camera goes out of range from WiFi or if camera is broken or stolen? Is the footage gone since it’s using onboard storage ?

Yeah I'm not sure what happened. I've exported hundreds of KZfaq videos with the exact same settings but this one had problems. I think it ended up being a glitch on KZfaqs side

This camera is total rubbish. Wyze need to review the software for this v4 .The SD card playback crashes after 10gb storage. No person detection. Go with the cam v3 pro or lorex or blink with free cloud storage.

I don't have any issue with the 64 gig card in my 2x v4 cameras. You might want to try factory resetting them or contacting why support maybe you've got a bum one. As far as the person detection that is a disappointing loss from the V3 Pro. If you're looking for a local solution that has onboard person detection check out the reolink cameras.

I am stuck - I have done all the SDK setup and I can send broadcasts - but how can I set up a voice automation in Home Assistant where I can say "Hey Google, I'm home" and it will turn on the lights I have configured in HA?

That's sort of the opposite of what the SDK does. The point of the SDK is to be able to control lights and devices that are in Google Home but not controllable and home assistant. If you want to control lights that are in home assistant with Google Home then you can either do the nabu casa subscription for the easy way or you can manually set up Google Assistant in home assistant. I know that's confusing and they probably need to do a better job of differentiating them. But once you have your lights in home assistant exposed to Google Home then you can set up a routine in Google Home to respond to the I'm home phrase. Let me know if you need more clarification!

I do have Nabu Casa - but does that mean I can't create an automation in HA (one that involves lights, maybe a switch or other device) and be able to trigger that automation with a phrase I say to Google. For example: when I say "Hey Google, trigger the alarm" - it see the alarm automation in HA that triggers my Ring camera alarms. That can't work like that?

They recommend that you drill into the door. If you have any existing doorbell you might be able to replace it without having to make any new holes. You might be able to get away with using double-sided tape but that would introduce a security risk of it being stolen really easy.

Double check you have the latest by checking the downloads page: reolink.com/download-center/ Make sure you put in the right hardware version. I found the auto update isn't reliable.

Yes. You can control whether or not the camera will trigger the light on motion. Same thing applies to other Waze cameras.
