Do not call it silver, that is absolutely 100% grey. Silver was discontinued but now has come back for the Model S at least. To update the video also, right now, August 2024, the standard free color is grey and has been it for quite a while. I got the grey in 2022 for my new Model 3 Performance when it was still not free, and I love it (just like you). As for the heat, don't bother that much about the car color, yes, black and grey and even blue will get hotter than white and the new silver, but what you need to worry about is the interior. If you live in a hot area, get white interior. Right now is free either black or white so take advantage of it. The interior is easy to clean and contrary to what most people think, the white interior is very easy to clean and doesn't stain. To be honest, unless you live in a place where is cold 10 months out of 12, don't get black interior, get white. And invest in high quality tint for both the windows and the roof. I got the nano ceramic all around and was the best investment. I can actually look up at the sun without burning my eyes, is that good (but don't do that all the time, just for a couple of seconds, longer can do damage to your eyes no matter what unless you use eclipse glasses). The interior of my Tesla is black (I made the mistake not to get white) but thanks to the tint, the interior doesn't get super hot. Basically, get the color you want, get white interior, and get tint and you are all set. As fromwraping, don't unless you keep your Tesla in a garage all the time. Wrapping might get you an infinite number of colors, but it is high maintenance. And in many cases, if you don't get very good quality one, it can damage the paint instead of protecting it. Cheers.

The sound sounds great to me after I adjusted the EQ. Perhaps you should be wondering why so many software “upgrades” in such a short time. The ability to plug in and charge without monkeying around with payments would be nice but I believe those logistical issues are being ironed out. IMO driving an EV is not appropriate for anyone without home charging. Not yet anyway.

Ioniq 5 is built much better than the cost. Tesla is built cheaper than the cost way cheaper. Only thing better in a Tesla is chargers ( not charging) and software. Anything else Ioniq . Especially designg not even close Modle Y looks like a rolling egg.

I live in Canada and had made a deposit in January 2022 for an ioniq5 ultimate. I decided to buy a M3 in February 2022 because my Santa Fe was reaching 80,000 and it would have lost too much value. In January. I heard about a price decrease for the MY, which now qualified for 12,000$ rebates from our governments. Since the ioniq5 was nowhere to be found, we cancelled our reservation with Hyundai and bought the MY. I love it. Best car ever.

That last point about dealer experience makes me move away from Mercedes Benz. Every time I went I felt like they didn’t worry about me and wanted me to over expend for example my C300 was due to pad replacement and they tried to force me to change brake disc and was perfectly condition was the pad was worn at 50k miles. From just a few 100s job they wanted around $1500

I have a 22 RWD/LR, "up north" in the north shore of Montréal. This is my second winter with the car. As it turns out, the car "leaks" air from the door handles. I'm not sure, still to this day, wether this is by design or if it is an industrial accident. I live 50m from a river so one side of my car has a tendency to ice up when dew comes down in winter. Pre-heating the car remotely not only warms the interior, it leaks some of that hot air through the door handles and thus actually de-ices the door handles. I've NEVER had a case when I had to force my way in. I pre-heat and when I get to the car, the handles pop out just fine when I unlock the car. Word to the wise: in winter, turn off the auto unlock on approach and all-door unlock features of the car. This will avoid you dumping snow behind the popped door handles when you brush the snow off the roof of the car. I approach the car, wipe driver door frame clean of snow by hand, unlock driver door, take my brush, close and lock again and then brush my roof. Also, I did upgrade my frunk to to euro/asia WRD frunk, going from 26L to 54L. I posted how on Reddit. It was entirely worth it.

Got to be careful with these cars. If you deny the battery case, replacement will you the same amount as a new car. People in cold climates also need to think hard about buying these.

I have a ‘23 I5 Limited (also in digital teal). I do really enjoy the car. I am not a Tesla fan generally because of a few reasons, but regarding the I5, I have been most annoyed with the charging issues related to level 2 48 amp AC charging at home. The charge port overheats at 100 or even 90 percent at that level so I must always downgrade the speed so the car doesn’t shut off the charging. Hyundai has admitted this is a problem, yet hey refuse to do anything about it and the dealers act as if they’ve never heard anything about this when you take the car in because of these problems. This is not a good way to handle customers. And there is a class action lawsuit against Hyundai regarding this very issue. Anyway, generally the car has been very pleasurable. Quiet, reliable, spacious… But if you need to quickly charge your car and that’s why you bought it in the first place and it doesn’t do that, and then the company that promised it would doesn’t stand behind it that says a lot. :( much as I enjoy driving it, I would probably not buy it again, unless Hyundai steps up and addresses the problem. Most all of my cars have been German and I’m just used to better quality control and dealer support. I sort of regret not having just waited a little longer, as more options have hit the market. Regarding the stereo, I am also an audio enthusiast, but the system does not really bother me since most of the time when I’m driving I’m listening to audiobooks. The BMW iX with the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround is fantastic though! If you haven’t heard it, it’s definitely worth the price of admission, but then you have to like the looks of an iX. 😏

We’ve owned an Ioniq 5awd Ltd for just on 2 years. Have ridden and driven Tesla 3 and 5. The sound system may be better in Tesla, but that’s it. Tesla are poor riding, cramped to enter rear seats, boot struts are feeble in strong wind, the quality of fit and materials are far better in Ioniq5. The visual data is easier to use in Ioniq5. Tesla does have superior map graphics. We drive both marques and are very pleased we chose Hyundai. Would admire Tesla for getting going and dragging us forward although many non EV users have all sorts of negative views on something they are not ready for. No way will we hit back to ICE except for classic car.

Watchout, the ioniq5 high voltage battery is very very very expensive. Sure it comes with a warranty like any other EV. But just like any other EV, the warranty does not cover any physical damage caused by road hazards , your insurance will. Ofcourse any modifications to your car that directly damage the main hv battery can also void the warranty of the battery.. Ofcourse HV battery failure this doesn,t happen often. But it does happen.. most of them will be covered under warranty.. but if you ever accidentally damage the hv battery by yourself, you will have to replace it and the price on the ioniq5 is twice the price of a Tesla 3/Y . Ioniq5 hv battery replacement cost over $40k USD parts+labor . Tesla hv battery cost well under $20k. Audo E tron hv battery is also very expensive. Just do your homework , and get the quotes from hyundai before getting the ioniq5..

If you love that all the doors and coverings pla with the music Tesla is great. In Europe the charging situation is completely different. Tesla in the past often disabled functions by OTA updates. Service of Tesla in Europe is a No Go.

Except for the 2-hour tire change, all the "issues" you listed are things you should have known (test drive, research) BEFORE you bought the car. Ridiculous to blame Hyundai for your own failure to do your due diligence.

I agree with the creator regarding the sound system and probably the software update delay. I think starting next year Tesla chargers will be available to non-Tesla EVs. I think competition is good for consumers. I would not want Tesla to monopolize EV revolution.
