Welcome back to SparkDrive! Today we will be talking about my tesla model y delivery day! I was able to pickup a MY LR AWD a few days ago and it was a demo unit made in Nov 2022 in Austin TX!

That is strange them having demo cars locked. I’ve never seen a locked Tesla demo car at least in the southern states I’ve visited. I picked up a March 2023 build Performance Y and got the update for the park sensors and it seems to work okay

Same, I just sat in a model S LR 2 days before I bought my plaid and it wasn't locked in the showroom here and that is in the pacific northwest

Are you planning a video where you compare the ownership experience between the Ioniq 5 and the Tesla; for example warranty work and buying experience?

Thanks for the stream. I'm picking up mine in Austin in a few days. Regarding imperfections such as scratches, how long of a period is permitted prior to Tesla blaming the issues on the owner ?

Officially 3 Days/100 miles but I have read online many people getting things fixed far later.

I have an Ioniq 5, should have gotten the Y, I’m envious of any Y I dry by… I can’t wait to get a Y.

How harsh is the suspension? Does it have the new suspension?

It’s not bad I’m fine with it but not as good as the Ioniq 5 but very close.

I was able to pick it up right away, but then the price just dropped $3k so there goes that… oh well

I'll tell you why they didnt fix it....becuase Tesla buyers take cars in terrible conditions and think nothing of it. It is the strangest phenomenon. I mean like you, why would you agree to take a demo at the same price. That's insane.
