the biggest problem I was having was that the center button for the scroll wheel would still work but would not click so with the help of this video i was able to figure out how to fix the button. Thank You!!!!!! Edit: The reason the mouse skates came off without the glue is because there is a small gap that you can insert a pry tool into under the glue to take the skates off

I just cleaned my mouse, its a little nerve wrecking to pull the plastic body off the chassis, there's some creaking and snapping.

No screw in the new ones under battery. Upon further inspection, the screw is now a micro screw which is Logi's way of saying screw you.

Thanks so much for your tutorial! :) Sadly, I thought it was dirt but it's not, it's the scroll wheel plastic melting. I've got to admit the black gloves and silence made me feel like a serial killer was teaching me to clean my mouse 😆 Greetings from Argentina!

7:00 Arghh does the new one still "sink" when you press on it? This was the reason I wanted to change the original one! Real question (before buying this new trackpad): what's the point in changing the clickpad to another clickpad that "sinks" when you do a mouse tap? @Purkkaviritys

the terrible design they brought with the T440 is only in T440, every single machine like the T450 afterwards came with a touchpad meant for normal people and since the T450 touchpad works with the T440, you can get a proper touchpad by doing the swap.

Thank you for this video! I have a G502 where the mouse wheel wasn't free spinning very well (would come to a stop shortly after flicking it). This video helped me take it apart enough to find lint/stuff wedged in the bottom of the clear plastic housing the mouse wheel sits in. Pried one side of it apart with a small screwdriver while carefully shoving a small strip of paper towel (cut with a scissors to size) soaked with isopropyl in there to grab it and pull it out. Now that thing spins like brand new AND the mouse still works! Tip: Use this video to identify where the screw holes are in the skates under the mouse. Use an X-acto knife or similar sharp (but small) blade to poke INTO the screw holes, then carefully cut the skate material away (in a circle) running the blade at a slight angle to the screw hole. You'll get access to the screws without having to remove the entire skate or needing to replace them. The missing skate material (small circles) over each screw hole shouldn't affect glide. At least I couldn't tell a difference when I was done. Oh, DO NOT stab into the center one in-line with the cord. Heh, I made that mistake watching this at first thinking there was a screw hole. Luckily I didn't cut into the mouse cord in there.

Had the exact same issue, after 5 years it just stopped wanting to spin. I tried using canned air along the edge of the wheel to get inside but it would only last for a day lol. There was a bunch of gunk up in the clear plastic well of my mouse as well. Kind of reminds me of the gunk that got clumped up on the old ball mice.

Terrible guide, I advise you not to follow the First steps as described. If you try to disconnect the longer contact first as shown in the video, the electrical contacs of the two side LEDs will certainly break because they are much shorter and more fragile. Which Is happened to me. Failed, it would be better to remove the video and redo it correctly.

Thankyou. Put some life back into my old girl. If your scroll wheel stops clicking you might want to flex that little metal wire so it sticks up into the ridges of the wheel more after cleaning. Worked a treat.

In my experience, how many controllers I've restored, fixed, cleaned, stick is way more easy trow in a garbage and put new one, especially on Sony controllers, cause their rubber became sticky and so dirty and you never will clean them to not be disgusting touch it. Thanks for the video and til for sixaxis sticks. I was first time today working with this controller, video helped alot.
