when you are working with the pathfinder-too, it is usefull to hold down the alt-key while clicking, so you can preserve the shapes an adjust them later, if needed.

Hi June! Thanks so much for this video - it was VERY helpful. I'm proficient in Photoshop, but just starting to learn Illustrator. I am curious if the method in this tutorial will allow me to take my midjourney images and vectorize them so I can print them in any size (even large photo prints, such as 40" x 60")? Will images intended to look authentically photo-realistic have that abstract vectorized look to them when I make them larger, and is there a way to get them to look even more realistic by reducing the patchy vectorized look in some way? I don't know if I'm making sense!?
@IllustratorHow13 күн бұрын
Hi Amanda, yes you can vectorize your Midjourney images in Illustrator as well, sure. If you want the image to look almost the same as the original image, choose the "High Fidelity Photo" option from Image Trace. Let me know if this solve your problem ;)

Yay! Finally, a channel about AI for newbies like myself! Very concise and straight to the point. I like the fact that you explain different variations of the same tool in the toolbox. As a newbie I was having a hard time with eraser tool and I didn't know that it could be used on vector images only. Can you make a video about "Scissor tool" as well? I didn't find it in your video list. Keep up the good work! Like and subscribe! 👍

Hi! Welcome to my channel! I hope you get a lot out from here. And yes, most of my tutorials are super beginner-friendly. And definitely, I'll make a video about "how to cut objects" which will include the Scissors Tool for sure.

Loved you video, can I moved an illustrator document with layers intact to cc libraries and open with the layers editable in either another ai document or with photoshop. My wife had a layered document on laptop and placed in CC library but could not open and edit the text on the desktop. Again the main question is how to maintain the layers of an ai document as it is stored and moved through library

Hi Paul, one thing you can do is to package the files, you can refer to this tutorial: illustratorhow.com/package-file/ Hope this help!
