It's a good story. But when Lamborghini asks the mirror, the mirror replies "Ferrari".
@wheelsevolved3 күн бұрын
Haha, good one! It's true that Ferrari was a major player (and still is) when Lamborghini first started, but they have definitely carved out their own unique identity. 👍

I actually own the 44th 5th gen prelude off the line, it was sent to Britain as a promotional car so its a hybrid between jdm and euro spec makes it hard to get parts for but i dont care i love it, been doing it up on my channel although I need to upload all the new videos still got to swap it out from auto to manual and put coil overs on it

They should put the flip lights on the new one. I had an 85. Loved that thing and it had a Blaupinkt system with tint. Royal blue.

I've owned my 97 Prelude SH since 2002 and it's such an analog feeling time capsule every time I drive it. It's obviously not as quiet and comfortable as my CRV with DI turbo, CVT, carplay nav, and all the safety sensors, but there's something about the raw mechanical feel of rowing the gears and visceral experience of taking corners at crazy speeds. Despite the extra ATTS weight/complexity, the cornering is far more precise and aggressive than the base versions and fine if you aren't modding it.

I’ve had an 08 eclipse for the last 9 years. The car still looks brand new, I love the sporty interior with the great sound system. It’s a great car and I’ve loved it, but 160hp in a fwd “sports car” didn’t even cut it when it was new. The car feels great to drive for a fwd car, it was the perfect car coming straight out of high school. I’ll always look at the eclipse for what it could’ve been, and I’ll never forgive Mitsubishi for what it’s become.
@wheelsevolvedАй бұрын
Agreed! This is a common sentiment among Eclipse fans, which is why the transition to an SUV model wasn't as popular as Mitsubishi might have hoped.

I had a 97 GSX coming out of high school , moderately modified over the course of the 7 years that I owned it. Eventually broke the transmission, left it stuck in second gear. By then I was tired of it and had a kid on the way, needed something bigger with more room and an automatic. Got tired of shifting gears. It’s easy to get upset with Mitsu North America over their decision to go in a different direction after so many years. You kind of had to know what you were getting into with them though. Mitsubishi being a private conglomerate with a host of subsidiaries under the name, they have always been ready to axe the first constituent that took profits away from the industry favorite (Mitsu Heavy Industries). With 40 individual companies, all owning shares in the other, it was a business decision. Unfortunately, enthusiasts of the car manufacturer get the short end, but at the end of the day, they do not care.

I drove an Eclipse-Cross as a loaner for two weeks. That 160hp engine is not enough to move that vehicle out of it's own way. It's sad to see what the Eclipse was and where it is now...

You're absolutely right! It's a shame that the Eclipse is no longer the car it once was. ⚠️

My personal opinion is the S13 is the ugliest of all Silvia's, every version of the S13 looks boring, it looks like two vehicles of different styles mashed together, curvy then straight lines, its a mess.

@@wheelsevolved All of the sharp, angular wedge-shaped hatchbacks of the late 70s and early-mid 80s are timeless vehicles, definitely not denying that. Maybe for a future video you could go over INFINITI's history? While not as expansive as its parent company NISSAN, the way they skyrocketed their reputation from "NISSAN but fancier" to a Sports Luxury icon overnight with the G35 Coupe / Sedan in the early and mid 2000s is definitely an interesting bit of automotive history to cover. I've personally really grown to love the G35 Coupe's styling recently, and I'm thinking of buying one since the price-to-value of a well-maintained model right now is very good here in Canada. There was a guy selling a fully track-prepped G35 Coupe for less than 20K the last time I checked online for G35s on sale in early 2024. Ones that have been kept OEM are as low as the mid-10s to even below 10K
@wheelsevolved2 ай бұрын
Great suggestion, added to the list for a future video. And good luck with your G35 hunt, hope you find a good one! 👍
