Enjoyed your Vietnam videos, also planning a trip there. I've noticed several motorbike riding adventures in this country from Canadians, English etc. How did you obtain a legal licence to ride? (I'm from Australia which is also a 1949 IDP country)...thanks.
@megandmiketravelsАй бұрын
We actually didn't (we have an IDP but we didn't bother obtaining the Vietnamese licence and just risked it) - we heard that tourists typically don't get pulled over outside of major cities so we avoided all major cities, which resulted in a couple longer days, but didn't have any issues! We were pulled over in other countries (I.e. Thailand, where our IDP w/ moto class was sufficient), but we lucked out in Vietnam!

So much to say about Malawi, I'll try and condense it: 1. The people selling you things WILL sell you something (don't ask), so the fact that they gifted you something like that is fantastic. 2. This children there are so friendly, I think I had four of them holding my hands at one point after that dinner. 3. Beer there is VERY well priced. 4. The beaches there are amazing, and the water of Lake is so cool. 5. I'm still BAFFLED at the way the both of you mispronounced your country's name. Losing my sandals and the insect bites were frustrating but it was overall a great experience.

That leg of the trip was wild, in more ways than one! I think you might have seen the tail end of the Great Migration whilst you were on the Maasai Mara, I was disappointed I missed it too. 😔 2:15 That Lioness hunt happened so quickly, and so unexpected as well (considering we probably saw members of the same pride acting like housecats earlier)! We all got pretty sunburnt that evening 😅. I gotta admit, the camp looked amazing at dawn, I'll have to send you pictures of what it was like from the balloon. 😄 4:55 There were a few zebras there at dusk, I remember trailing them for a while before it got too cold at the camp. 🥶 The hotel in Zanzibar was blissful, and the Indian Ocean was so warm too. Pretty heavy stuff in Stone Town. 😢 I recorded so many time lapses through the Baobab Valley, so many trees. 🌳
