Ich habe hier alte All-in-one-PCs, Typ Lenovo C50-30 mit 4 GB und 3,5 Zoll alter Platte von WD - ich habe sie auf 8 GB RAM aufgerüstet. läuft schon besser, aber nach diesem Video bin ich jetzt sehr gespannt, wie sehr sich eine SATA-SSD auswirken wird. Ob das so schnell wird wie in diesem genialen Video? Würd mich ja sehr freuen. - Ich finde es einfach viel zu schade um diese 6 Jahre alten Rechner, einfach in den Elektroschrott will mir gar nicht gefallen.

I have asus x543ma laptop so it's considered as an old laptop It used to take me 10 minutes to run my windows so I decided to upgrade to SSD and purchased EVO 870 and it takes me less than 15 seconds to run the windows 😅

Summary: NVMe offer marginal speed increase than SATA SSD, but both of them smoke HDD.

I remember windows xp booting in 12 seconds from hdd in old days, so I’m not sure if SSD is such a huge improvement especially in copying or creating large files like 200GB. Overall speed drops to 200MB/s. 200MB/s have modern hdd easily. Also windows 10 started to work slow at some point on hdds , after some updates. Yes, ssds are faster but have often bottleneck after buffer is full when writing to them.

I am using sata ssd and was thinking to buy nvme ssd, thinking it will be faster than sata ssd. But now I know that speed difference is negligible. So I am not buying nvme ssd.

I just uograde to 256 Sata SSD for my OS and 1 TB Sata SSD for my game. Everything is so blazing fast now compare to HDD.

m.2 name is not really accurate because some sata SSD also comes in m.2 form. should use nvme name for the one that is faster.

I've noticed my PC was still a BIT slow after upgrading CPU, MOBO and RAM and I didn't know why but I think it's because I need an NVMe SSD but I'm satisficed anyways with the performance of my SATA SSD.

El tiempo estimado es entre 35 a 45 segundos máximo, si tarda más que eso, el disco no está en óptimas condiciones. Ahora, estoy hablando de una pc con 8 Gigas de RAM, un procesador Intel core I3, y Placa base Asus.

Can't you mention the speeds? M.2 Could mean anywhere between like 1000MB/s to 8000MB/s and the other types also vary in speed.

I used to sit on an HP laptop with a 500 GB hard drive, then I switched to a PC and there I already put a 128 GB SSD drive and was very amazed at how fast the operating system loads. Someday I will change from a hard drive to an SSD on my laptop....
