In a SHTF scenario, will these and other NV scopes work the same when viewing through window glass and window screen of a home? Also, will these emit light which will give away my position to the 2-legged creatures?
@H.A.B.Outdoors2 күн бұрын
@stevegunn9971 if using the IR light a screen would pick up all the light literally blinding you. As far as standard night vision (infrared light) they give up position. Definitely not a SHTF top pick. But as long as you're the only one using it then you could get away with it

@@stevegunn9971 Night vision cameras (cheap ones will be enough) and visor mounted screen with cowling. You put the cameras opposite where you're located and you need many of them with several IR lightposts scattered around. Granted that you can be located by experienced enough two-legged-bastards and others with thermals available but that's beyond the common grunt's skillset.

I’ve got the exact same Savage 17HMR and a stock RUGER Precision in .22 LR, as you said both are excellent shooters. I also shoot an FX Maverick Sniper PCP air rifle .22 caliber. It is really a great rifle and really surprising the power it has. I’ve only used it for squirrels and rabbits out to 75-100 yards but it puts them down on the spot. Most of my shots with it are 35-70 yards. Good review video. Enjoyed the way you did it.
