I look up to missionaries and don't understand them using drugs. It seems like a betrayal of faith to me. How do some talk about it like it's just a thing in everyday life? It lets me down about them totally, like falling into a bottomless pit that goes all the way through the earth or something. And the nerve of someone you don't even know coming to your house and telling you about it! And in the name of the Lord? Surely not.

There are always a minimum of two sides to most issues. Here in my area of SoCal ~85% of voters are Democrats. They support allowing males self identifying as females play female sports. However ... when they found out this would include the use of female locker rooms, showers and bathrooms -- especially those with school age females -- they were concerned. When males began playing on female teams, winning then receiving scholarships, awards, etc. thus preventing female athletes from the scholarships, etc. they became more concerned to say the least.

Guess what? It's OK to be gay. Guess what is NOT Ok? - Acting upon your same gender attraction via pornography or via actual homosexual physical sexual relations. Being gay hardly means always acting it out. Being gay is just having a same gender attraction - period.

It's very different. Worlds apart. Worse than that it's tough finding any minority gay youtubers who will talk about the topic. White Gays are everywhere just like the apps.

I'm glad your parents finally came around to some degree. I felt so sorry for you throughout the whole video, it was as if you were telling people you had a terminal illness rather than just that you are gay. As a parent I have told my sons from an early age that whoever they love is fine by me and sexuality is like eye colour, you are just born with blue eyes or brown eyes or whatever and same with who you are attracted to. I feel very sad that you felt you had to date girls to try and make your parents happy and I'm so relieved that you are dating who you want now.

You need to Tell your parents it’s not a “Lifestyle”, it’s who you are and who God made you to be, if you wanna believe in a God. I would straight up tell them That Mormonism is a Lifestyle of Hate, it is literally a Cult of wackos That was invented in the 1830s by some quackpot named Joseph Smith. Who if he didn’t invent a whole new religious Cult nobody would know him and he would have died in an insane asylum.

I can absolutely identify your experience Joseph as I was subjected to a zealous and fanatical family where there was no love only judgement, so at 16 years of age I had taken all I could of my solitude and isolation and planned to take my own life, my riffle did not fire when I squeezed the trigger? In my tears and hysteria in my bedroom I had left the safety catch on!! Then I had a change of heart? So I know the pain and hopeless feeling that Know one is there to talk to, all I was told is I was going to Hell, lovely for an innocent boy, sorry for the sarcasm, but that is how it was for 16 years straight, and no I am not I am 100 % gay and have been from my first memory, always attracted to a man. The worst of it all is the loneliness and solitude I went through, I am amazed I have survived to this day some 52 years later and now care for my sick partner of nineteen years, he has become my life, the closest human being I have ever known, and no it is not all sweetness and light but endurance in love, he say love is every thing and I agree with him with all my heart, now the tears role...we are two spirit people, that is who I am, we Joseph are Special humans, I am both mail and female in spirit, this has been my life, to be the balance. Bless you young man...Aiden from over the Pond XX

There are always 2 people experiencing a relationship. What I learned is to never allow myself to beholden to a person who does not love you, does not respect or care for you. I've learned not to allow myself to be treated as a "roommate" towards my partners family, or be cheated on multiple times including with yourself. At the tender age of 22 I learned the value of independence.

Im proud of you. Im widowed gay LDS man. I understand your struggles. Im basically asexual and came out to my brother. He didn't handle it well and told me to stay in the closet and DONT tell our family. Recently my neice divorced her temple married husband. She lives back east. So her FB posts started coming accross as possibility gay. I texted her and came out to her i was a gay man and if she was gay id still love and support her. Shes not, but shed fly home and march in the pride parade with me.

Three breakups. The last one, years ago, will be my last. Just not going there again. I broke up the first two and was broken up in the last one. But there was writing in the table that I read through that I wasn’t hit from left field. But still…. In any case, I made a pledge to remain single going forward. Yes, someone came along, but I didn’t allow myself to hold on to it.

Nice couple. :-) I grew up in SLC as a Lutheran Christian. I'm still Lutheran and Gay. As maybe you guys have, I have come to a relationship with (my) God that I am Gay but still spiritual. (I was going to say faithful, but gay is a sin, but there are many sins; basically a fallen human, sinning as Adam but not because of him.) Stay spiritual toward God. I'd promote Lutheran/Christian/Catholicism, but you do you. Having grown up in SLC, not too keen on the LDS/Mormon faith. But people are people ...even Mormons, so try to stay spiritual and worship god and try to be good ... and pray/ask forgiveness.
