After all, another feature of our Interstate system is its use of consistent signage and marking. We use yellow lines on the left shoulder -- not white -- those are from Europe. We use green signs for exits, not blue. Blue signs serve another purpose here. Was it lack of knowledge about such details or just laziness on the part of the person downloading the b-roll? Oh yeah, we drive on the right-hand side here, so the clip showing a British motorway is particularly jarring.

In the early 20th century, GM bought the LA street car system and shut it down so commuters would have to buy their cars to get to work.
