There are certain times, and places, where you can see beyond the Maya. On Halloween 2001, I got to experience a "void space" in reality. It's the most memorable, and messed up things, I've ever experienced in life. Time and space fell off, and I got to experience a place like a void.

The Word of Truth (Logos) is ever faithful (loyal, true, isomorphic) to Reality/Life (That which is/That I am). All change for the better begins at the still point of silence - simply being aware of being aware (Gnosis). The abstract (Heaven) called Love by the Psyche (Firmament) can be expressed concretely (Earth) as a smile, hug, etc, thereby uniting Heaven and Earth. The Rhythm of Life is a movement and a rest. The optimum (Heaven) is always found somewhere between the extremes of too much and too little (hell = two thieves). Pleasantness is the Rose found at the Heart of the Optimum. Just so. "Strait is the gate and narrow the way that leads to Life, and few there be that find it". (Matt. 7:14) One who knows when to stop is forever safe: Inner/Outer More/Less Better/Worse Yes/No

We live in a word built Universe of narratives. Uni-verse = unified verses = narrative Words are the smallest atomic unit of narratives. There is a time lag for signals from the senses to the brain. We do not experience Reality directly, only indirectly through the narrative constructed in the brain, which then projects outwardly as experience. This is the real simulation. Every choice we make generates a corresponding timeline of experience. Is the resulting narrative a limit or a creative guideline? No wrong answer - only another choice.

There is probably also a reason why it exists (so that we can handle our life as embodied beings with finite senses). But it is also good to know that there is something beyond the illusion of our limited perception. I think forcefully removing maya (for example kundalini experiment seems to be such a thing) can be quite dangerous, I think. A middle path is probably the best: where one accepts that the universe created maya for a reason (or maya is an aspect of the universe) and where one tries to be aware that there is more than we perceive.

To imply this video says "nothing" means one didn't obtain any useful semantic information or meaning from it. Perhaps the content is truly just random nonsense, in which case it is unlikely anyone would derive much semantic information from it. On the other hand, it might contain deep and immensely useful information that someone is either unable or unwilling to see. For example, reading all of Einstein's papers to my roommate's cat would likely mean little to it. I view "epistemic humility" as a virtue; there is no point in anyone's life where they can truly say, "Today I know everything." This framing might not always be practically useful, but it is one way of understanding things among almost certainly infinite ways. Different framings may be more or less useful depending on the context.

I used to practice mantra but wasn't getting any where with that. Then one day it occurred to me there is frequency in still photos, the yantras. The frequency of sacred geometry. Specifically the equilateral triangle. But more so that yantra has phi built in too. I hope some one tries it. Remember you don't need a large dose. ty

And about the cyclical nature of the universe: according to theosophy and Hinduism even existence appears and disappears (parlaya and manvantara) regularly. It's becoming clear that with all the brain and consciousness theories out there, the proof will be in the pudding. By this I mean, can any particular theory be used to create a human adult level conscious machine. My bet is on the late Gerald Edelman's Extended Theory of Neuronal Group Selection. The lead group in robotics based on this theory is the Neurorobotics Lab at UC at Irvine. Dr. Edelman distinguished between primary consciousness, which came first in evolution, and that humans share with other conscious animals, and higher order consciousness, which came to only humans with the acquisition of language. A machine with only primary consciousness will probably have to come first. What I find special about the TNGS is the Darwin series of automata created at the Neurosciences Institute by Dr. Edelman and his colleagues in the 1990's and 2000's. These machines perform in the real world, not in a restricted simulated world, and display convincing physical behavior indicative of higher psychological functions necessary for consciousness, such as perceptual categorization, memory, and learning. They are based on realistic models of the parts of the biological brain that the theory claims subserve these functions. The extended TNGS allows for the emergence of consciousness based only on further evolutionary development of the brain areas responsible for these functions, in a parsimonious way. No other research I've encountered is anywhere near as convincing. I post because on almost every video and article about the brain and consciousness that I encounter, the attitude seems to be that we still know next to nothing about how the brain and consciousness work; that there's lots of data but no unifying theory. I believe the extended TNGS is that theory. My motivation is to keep that theory in front of the public. And obviously, I consider it the route to a truly conscious machine, primary and higher-order. My advice to people who want to create a conscious machine is to seriously ground themselves in the extended TNGS and the Darwin automata first, and proceed from there, by applying to Jeff Krichmar's lab at UC Irvine, possibly. Dr. Edelman's roadmap to a conscious machine is at arxiv.org/abs/2105.10461
