Great video Chris. Just realized you through bolted your bracket with nuts. Is there other types or ways to mount motor if you can't do the bolt through? Thanks, Steve

obvious he is a robalo salesman. the sea pro does come with arm rest to keep you in the boat on front but he left that out. its funny because he put them side by side so he could see what he could nit pick lmao I have no dog in the fight but this is typical shady sales man stuff. both these boats are just fine and all boats are going to do things better than the others.

Pretty Pretty ! Last month , I purchased a Key West 189 FS with a Yamaha 115 from Anchor Marine in North East Maryland! I run it in the Susquehanna and North East River at the Head of the Chesapeake Bay ! Only 10 hours on it Top speed 42 mph , sips gas , very athletic boat with quick turning , and it’s paid for !!! Happy is an understatement!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The Sea Pro none skid deck is NOT slick at all, I use one every week. That diamond pattern on the Rebalo is slicker, but easier to clean. That Sea Pro live well...amazing design, the Rebalo livewell will be splashing water out everywhere is my guess, sea pro's is completely sealed . Sea Pro hull and finish is superior to Rebalo...one of my main reasons for getting Sea Pro. Rebalo is just big and bulky for me, not to mention kind of ugly lol. I can bet ya one thing, they will not come close to matching customer service Jimmy and Jamie offer at Sea Pro. They have come and picked my boat up at my house to fix something before, and always there to answer questions. Also, who wants a motor right in your way on the back deck, I like the Sea Pro back deck much better. Bet the Rebalo doesn't have that main drain system that sea pro has (sorry, can't remember what it is called). If your looking for a family play boat, Rebalo might work?? I picked a Sea Pro 248 over Rebalo multiple times for several reasons, and I'm someone who actually use them, and have had boats from 13 to 46 years old. :) Actually running 10 miles off fishing this week in the Fl. Keys, and the winds are 12 to 15 mph.... rough out there, but it is getting me there and back! Sea Pros are solid boats!

Careful when buying from Anglers Marine. Make sure you check everything on your boat and trailer. Could put you or your family’s safety at risk.

Two years later this motor is going strong kzfaq.infoUgkxBZWgzfpS2Jj7JqIHyaSZjyVHNUgCKCBf Just uploaded a video of it after 2 years. We use it probably a dozen days each year on our small raft.-original review- We got this motor the other day and tested it out. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems good to me. It has all the features advertised - the motor housing is metal. We will see how it performs longer term and I will revise this review if needed. Some initial observations:- Good thrust, moves our boat around really well- It comes with a circuit breaker but no switch - so there's no way to kill the motor other than yanking the connection off the battery. I installed an inline switch.- The mount bracket is plastic and I worry it might break- There are a number of plastic parts that I worry about, but the most important ones are metal or some kind of composite

If I could afford either one of these boats they would both be great choices. Seems a little like: a. Your separating yourself from Seapro as your transitioning to Ronaldo. Or b. Selling both and giving your personal opinion to perspective buyers. If the latter is true and I were Seapro, I’d pull all my inventory from your lot🤷‍♂️

Remind owner to calibrate his TM and set the Off set . Most new owners don’t understand that. (Not sure if you water tested it and did that for the owner)

The front 2 holes should be over the flat deck. Look at the ShuttleSlide trolling motor mount. It would really help with this type of install if u do one like this in the future
@jamesglavich1426
@jamesglavich1426 Жыл бұрын
There is a small wonder why the ShuttleSlide looks so unstable. There is so many parts, and I didn't see any convenient way to remove the trolling motor. You can add an aluminum plate if you want the front holes on a "flat deck".
@chloesunshine9333
@chloesunshine9333 Жыл бұрын
@@jamesglavich1426 They make them for the 108" shaft Rhodan motors too. Any mount that can handle that large motor is a game changer. I believe the only thing that moves are the 2 metal pieces that slide in the slot. The back thumb screws are removable and u can just slide it off the back of the mount. Seems easy enough to me, but everyone has their own preference. I just thought there is another option in securely mounting the motor since the puck wasn't made to be altered. Minn Kota told me if u alter the puck, it voids can warranty. I know many people do that because they don't realize there are other options out there. No worries.

They're both nice boats. I like the layout much better on the Robalo and it really is a much bigger boat than the Sea Pro. The pressured live wells on the Sea Pro are fantastic. The Robalo T top supports are bigger and better layer out. The Sea Pro front entry angle provides a SMOOTH ride in choppy water. The Robalo isn't as sharp of an entry angle. For me, I've been leaning Robalo Cayman for 2 yrs now but just can't let go of the money.
@benmcneil2692
@benmcneil2692 Жыл бұрын
I looked at both of these boats and bought the Sea Pro 248. I didn't like how Robalo doesn't allow space for a bow casting chair with their deck design. I also don't like the heavy branding/logos all through the design. The transom design wasn't as good for a swim platform. Finally the Robalo just looked too chunky and kind of cumbersome for skinny water.
@RH-qk5lt
@RH-qk5lt Жыл бұрын
@@benmcneil2692 And yet the Robalo drafts 12" and the Sea Pro 15". The Robalo is more capable due to that "chunky" design off shore on good days. Most salt water guys don't use a bow seat unless you're a tournament tarpon fisherman. And I'm guessing Robalo Cayman owners are proud of those "heavy branding". Again, they're both great options but the Robalo is just more boat for the same money.
