The term transgender is not a noun but, an adjective. Just saying.
@kathsernaАй бұрын
Thank you so much for bringing this up! I learned something new today. Please tell me how to properly use the term. Could you provide any suggestion?
@margovallenАй бұрын
Sure. Transgender woman. Transgender man.

Thanks! I’ll go ahead and fix the title :)

There is no right or wrong to be a man or a woman. Men can like ‘pretty things’ and cooking, just like women can be into trucks and the outdoors. There can be men with a higher feminine energy, just like there are women with what we may call a more masculine personality. Those are just traits and characteristics. They aren’t a blue print telling you if are “acceptable in society” as a man or a woman. They don’t define you- and not being the perfect “norm” doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. … There seems to be a crises amongst women today. The butch lesbians are being erased just like women’s sports and Title IX. Yes, gender dysphoria is real, and for those afflicted with it, it can cause so much pain inside! But I challenge the current assumption that the solution is to medically alter the outside, rather then work intensely on the inside. There is no wrong way to be You. Wear what you like, appreciate what you appreciate, do YOU. But don’t turn a healthy body into a chemically dependent and surgically altered one, especially not for the sake of better fitting into whatever imaginary box the world is trying to shove you in.

Poor girl. She is really struggling. Also she is so feminine. I had a transgender friend when i was 10 - 40 years ago. She was really masculine. Her biological sex was almost invisible. Not almost, was invisible. Her movements, way of talking, whole attitude. This girl here is visibly a woman and she is traumatized. I am absolutely sure she is not transgender. She just wants to run away from what has happened to this little girl. Can’t blame her.

@@kathserna I'm just chiming in so it's not really my question to answer but I wanted to give my thoughts so that you could have more than one answer and I am sure theirs will be different (that is if they reply) ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) often impacts focus, impulse control, and organization. These challenges might make it harder for someone to evaluate long-term consequences or remain consistent in their decision-making processes. PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) can lead to heightened emotional reactions and difficulty managing stress. It may also cause episodes of re-experiencing traumatic events, avoidance behaviors, and alterations in mood and reactions. When mood and mental health aren't managed, they can cloud judgment, making it harder to make thoughtful, informed decisions. Thus, addressing these aspects with professional help or through therapeutic strategies can lead to more stable and clear-headed decision-making, especially when those decisions could have long-term impacts on one's life. This approach helps ensure that decisions are not overly influenced by transient emotional states or unmanaged symptoms. But again that's just my thoughts on it and everyone is entitled to their own opinions :)

I regret I didn't try more with a man I loved, who wasn't interested in me. But maybe he would have been, if I had found some way for us to get to know each other, without calling it dating in the beginning? Maybe I could have grown on him? Because I have always missed him, the man I finally married was nothing in comparison to him, and still when I read his posts in social media I think that we would have been well-suited. I don't think his wife deserves him. But I was too shy and awkward then, I was so afraid that he would reject me, because that would have meant the end of the world to me then. The idiotic thing is that when I look at photos of myself from that time, I see something else than what I saw in the mirror at that time. I see a fresh, slim, healthy and pretty young woman, not one in an inferior league compared to him - as I firmly believed then.

I regret not investing in my health by eating better, learning to handle stress, staying physically active, etc. If I had known then what I know now, I would have eaten a carnivore diet and would never have worn perfume/cologne/fragrances. I would have found fun ways to keep physically fit. Exercises don't appeal to me, but dancing and other activities do. I would also have eliminated toxic people from my life. I would have been waaaaaaaaay more prudent about my money, making a detailed plan for my finances in my senior years. These are some of the things that come to mind immediately. I hope a young person reads this and wisely learns from it.

Hi, those are really great life lessons. Thank you so much for sharing them. But I’m curious about wearing fragrances, why is that? And if possible, could you please also share some ways that a younger person could start doing now to prepare their finances for their senior years?

Always save for a rainy day. My mother would save one dollar a week. After a while, she would deposit it in a savings account. Her incentive was me, her daughter because she felt that if I got sick, she would be able to take me to the doctor. This was many decades ago.
