This is amazing! I usually listen to hours long instrumental music when I'm working/studying and I'm sure a lot of people do. I love the sound of flairdrum but I can't find a video where I can listen to it for a long time at a stretch. It'd be great to have one such video for people like me to listen to :)

Hei there, how do you get the air and the right pressure in the bottles? Wondering wonderfu...🌟
@flairdrum60603 ай бұрын
Hey, In the cap there is a bicycle valve. You can pump the bottle up with a normal pump and give it the desired pressure. The more air pressure the higher the tone. Its quite easy to tune however you like.

@VeganWithAraygun10 ай бұрын
@@unfamiliarrobloxian7952 Sure, I'll try. by the way, I just discovered this channel, subscribed & love international music of all kinds. 1 - regarding gamelan, these bottles reminded me of *Indonesian and other non-Western music tunings, modes & scales. Admittedly, the scale in this video is not *Javanese Pelog. (garage - built in a garage) 2 - English language humor: a silly phrase that's heard in pubs and taverns: "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me 🍾 than have a frontal lobotomy"🤪 It rhymes on a bit of 'dark humor'.

Flair is another word for good atmosphere which corresponds to the sound in my opinion. Furthermore it contains the words Flasche (bottle), air and drum which describes the instruments functionality.

I've seen several of your videos before I'm a subscriber. I like your videos they're fun and entertaining but I will say though. How can you stop that a spat noise In other words the noise when you hit the bottle you can hear the instrument and you can hear the stick heating the bottle so it's making like a hitting noise. I'm not sure if anyone would have noticed that noise before but when you place the flare drums you can hear the hitting noise in the instrument. And i'm just wondering if you can prevent that by anyway.
@mickeyqtip7918 Жыл бұрын
That's part of the instrument's tonality, but the less pressure that's in the bottle the lower the surface tension is lowered, which can reduce that sound. I'm not sure how much range you'd get at such low pressure, but that's all I can suggest.
@flairdrum6060 Жыл бұрын
Hi Adrian. The percussive sound of the bottle is part of the instrument. Some people find it enjoying but others like it, I also do. It's like having two instruments, a rythmic and a melodic one. I tried many different mallets. With developing the flairdrum mallets the percussive sound can be reduced but not deminished. Furthermore, so far I did not record the music in a professional audio studio. I want to do this soon and I'm quite sure that thus a very clear sound can be possible.
