You must not grout the perimeter joint especially with the tub, that should be caulked with silicon. Grout is only for inner seams. That is the accepted consensus. One reason is expansion and contraction when the tub is filled with water it pushed out on the joint and grout can crack then water will seep under whereas sillicon will stretch and maintain waterproofing and protect the tiles.

When can she service my swamp cooler! Maybe its just me but i thing swamp coolers should be cleaned out weekly, all that algae and gunk ends up in the air

I have a question, is it better to put the feeder in a open area directly under the sun, or under a tree ( i have a small 8 feet red maple tree ) covered by the shade of its leaves?🤣👋🏽
@NassrinsDIY13 күн бұрын
It’s better in the shade because if not it starts molding inside pretty quick. Mine wasn’t directly in the shade, but I liked to be able to see them through the window.

Great vid, thanks for sharing. A little constructive criticism if I may. The edge tiles are uneven so for this job I would have started with the grout line in the centre so that way you would have even edge tiles. If that was my house I would have pulled you up on that first haha. You should have run silicone instead of grout at the bath too. Love that you're trying to teach people though, good stuff.

Showing some skill but your support hand placement is off. You make one slip with that grinder goodbye fingers. And the flange should sit on top of the tile

You are awesome this is my reference video for tiling. I first watched 3 months ago now came back to it after having watched other people and you are the cream of the crop. Just one question, i've seen two pro tilers explain notched trowels and they say any tile bigger than 15 inches in any direction requires a 1/2" x 1/2" notched trowel. And 12" x 12" tiles require 1/4" x 3/8" (slightly deeper notches than yours), yet you used 1/4" x 1/4" which they recommend for subway tiles anything below 12" or linear tiles. I think you should have used 1/4 x 3/8 for 12 x 24 tiles. Are you not worried about thinset coverage under big tiles ? I will play it safe and use 1/4 x 3/8 for that tile size.

Use Ditra instead of the backer board. True its more expensive but its lighter and easier to work with. Most importantly, you'll have a waterproof membrane.
