Love your photos in Japan, what a fantastic experience! Great perspective. I'm in the UK and one of the best years of my life was travelling solo in Australia when I was 28

Jen, you have (on purpose or not) developed high Emotional Intelligence and your Amygdala’s are healthy and working as God intended. May I encourage you to consider writing a book? Perhaps you could title it “Trusting Your Gut, life examples of calculated risk taking and growing through adversity.” Your voice is easy to listen to therefore, I would also encourage you to record it yourself for the Audible version. My favorite part of this video is “don’t have all your friends in one basket”, people come and go with different seasons in life. In the Bible, God recorded “Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens ….” Thank you ❤❤❤

Hi Jen, excellent video and I believe it will be a great help to many others in a similar position. My situation is slightly different in that I was forced to retire as a commercial sign painter at 58 due to health issues. I have a plan though and have just started my own channel, so I may make a video like yours explaining how I got here and my plans for the future. Thank you for this video, it’s motivated me to push forward with my plans. Wishing you continued success, Andrew

Just speaking on the change in sleep patterns as we age, totally normal. I remember my grandparents switch from night owls to morning doves. And, of course, that old saying, "Early to bed, early to rise. Makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise". I think there's something to that. 😁

Something you didn't give yourself credit for, is that you are a good speaker. You don't use filler words, your speaking speed is just right, it's good clear English, and of course, you're genuine. Congratulations and all the best for the future👍

I've always wanted to trade Crypto for a long time but the volatility in the price has been very confusing to me although I have watched a lot of KZfaq videos about it but I still find it hard to understand.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. As a teacher, I would pick out books that helped me along my "journey," standing in front of the shelf. And at the same time point out some great reads... ? Looking forward to your ideas on the subject. Good luck and thanks for the continued inspiration.

Oh, as a fellow introvert I felt your pain! You are the very best expert on you! Once you realise that and know that you like yourself, that you are a good person, then moving forward is a gentle journey. Not basing your opinion of yourself on the ill-judged opinions of others, is a revelation. It allows you to grow and give more to others. Stay well Jen, much love Imi x❤

I have a 2-step stepladder like your 3-step one and wouldn't do without it. I'm tall, I can just about manage without one, but arthritis means I'm less reliable on stretching, so it's better to use the stepladder, I think! Another brilliant video, Jen - thank you. PS. I'm subscribed. Have been for quite a while now since before you were monetised, if I remember correctly! Happy to be subscribed, and also to like and comment which all helps to support the channel in small ways.

I have always worried about power cuts, so I keep: a torch "headset" and a hurricane lamp (wind-up and rechargeable) and also a wind-up and rechargeable radio and torch about the house (and another wind-up torch in my handbag, you never know - now I just need to remember to take the handbag with me!). I would want to be in touch as much as possible if there were no power and no internet access and light is the best starting point for me. I'm also intending to buy a battery "power pack". I am amazed by how quickly your channel has grown, compared to others. I think that indicates there's a clear market for singles who live alone to be in community and learn from each other how best to be prepared for life's little eventualities and might-happens. Great job, Jen. I hope this channel brings you everything you hoped for from it when you started it. I know you achieved your initial goal, but it looks like you've expanded your vision for what this channel could do. I just hope you don't become so busy you don't get to have those lovely travels you had intended to go on! 🙂

Hey Jen- I love your anecdote of what it was like to say “yes” to an opportunity. As I look back to the moments I said “yes” to opportunities, I can honestly say I don’t regret it. I did what you say- I followed my heart and have awesome memories, connections and lessons to reflect back on. Now, at 50, I’m about to follow my heart again and will soon embark on a career change. I’m a little scared, I won’t lie. Will I be good at this new career? Will I make enough money? Am I too old to follow a new career path?? Argh! Always there are fears and doubts. I’m looking forward to new adventures and giving it my all, though. BTW Thanks for all of the great content you share. Your musings and stories are comforting and reassuring.

I enjoyed your stories Jen! I will never understand mothers who try to make their children’s decisions for them! I wanted to study journalism when I finished high school and was simply told “no”. Instead I was sent to the big city to work at age 17 after living my teenage years in the boonies. That turned out well for me because as a fellow introvert I would have died a thousand deaths trying to interview people for my news stories 😂. Instead I worked in an office while getting used to my freedom in the city, then returned to school when computers became a “thing”. Numbers and details suited me well. I was able to get a very good job and eventually purchase my own home. You were brave to take on Japan!
