My first PC had a JUKO MB with 1024k ! wish I still had it! The CPU is run at a higher voltage by a sparate voltage regulator and runs at a higher speed
@intel386DX
@intel386DX 11 ай бұрын
I was wondering why it uses 7805 regulator from 12V rail . Strangely enough as you mention this 7805 output 5.75V instead of 5.00V so I decided to remove it and connect the CPU directly to the 5V rail . I tested the CPU in turbo mode at bouth voltages , but there was no any speed deferences. It was about 6.45MHz (in this video 7.29MHz)

@@mohinderkaur6671 oh yes there is a diod thank ! So it is completely normal to be near 6V instead of just 5V. I was wondering what is the reason. BTW I have one XT turbo baby mobo board that have no 7805 and the CPU is directly connected to the 5V. I will check the performance of it . :)

Nice to find this video as I have just received a JUKO ST board :) Flash to the past - Do you recall what kind of power supply connector you used? I'm trying an old AT power supply connector like from the IBM XT/286/386/486 and it doesn't seem to want to fit on the JUKO. Hoping you know what kind of connector your power supply used.
