4:40 that's the hollow pin adapter....saw it on Brant Moore's channel (I didn't know either...) I just bought a halflink chain, 46years old, back to it after 20 years away (my 6 year old son got me back into it)

Thank you for this video! I was worried I'd done something wrong when putting my pedal back together but think all I did wrong was tighten it ever so slightly too much.

Is there any way to transfer the internals to a new shell? I got hit by a landscaping truck and it smashed my left pedal, but i am printing a new one right now. Cannondale Trail MTB. Isnt looking promising, but i wanna get riding again tomorrow and have 3d printer filament but no cash for new pedals lol. Awesome vid btw, my problems aside!!

Does a Shadow chain require a Shadow chain tool to install it, sorry, I just have a very limited knowledge with BMX tech. Looking to get a Shadow chain but having to fork out for a tool just to instal It is an absolute liberty. Please respond thank you

From a sunday to this se which do you prefer at the end of the day? Just went through your videos btw
@dadmodewheeliegang2 ай бұрын
honestly, both work and the Sunday is quite snappy because of the short chain stay. But the overall build quality on the frames (and I've had a couple now) wasn't 100% and when my wheel would be straight in the chain stay, it would be slightly off between the seat stays, and that kind of drove me nuts even though it wasn't an issue to ride or use the brakes. I like the SE monster quad because the frame is so unusual, and at this point, I think I'm stuck on using disc brakes because they're so smooth and powerful

@@dadmodewheeliegang thanks for the quick response! Im just a dad who doesn’t want to be on a mtn bike and look good with my som on a bmx. I would like to learn to wheelie but dont want to spend the 900+ if you know what i mean. What do you think the best bang for my buck is here? T.i.a!
@dadmodewheeliegang2 ай бұрын
@@Drewapple100 Great question and I think the best bang for the buck right now for learning wheelies is the GT Pro Series 29" BMX Bike which is on sale at citygrounds.com for $379 right now. That's less than 400 for a disc brake bike that you can upgrade over time if you have any parts failures, or you just want a higher quality hydraulic brake system

What is you had a bike that was to big for you do you still need to raise it?
@dadmodewheeliegang3 ай бұрын
I think as long as you can extend your legs and really get some power into your pedals, you should be ok. If your knees are still too bent when you’re pedaling, you might want to raise the seat up a little

Sorry, just seeing this. The tires are 18" from Shinko, the 18x 4.0 if I remember correctly. I tried the wider width, but it was too close to the chain and front of the swingarm for me.

I don’t think it lowers your bars inches. The stem difference is only a few millimeters at most. If you’re trying to go for a lower ride, I’d suggest getting smaller wheels and tires & smaller bars. Gotta admit it tho, it does look fire
@dadmodewheeliegang5 ай бұрын
It lowered it about an inch. I think it’s 31mm but I’d need to measure again. Pretty easy to see the difference you’ll get just by flipping the stem over on a table.

Nice car! I bought a 200SX brand new in 1981 and owned it for 5 years. Took it to Germany and autobahn drove it for 3 of those years and brought it back in 1985 and traded it. It drove and handled well in Germany where it saw quite a few sustained high speed autobahn runs.😊

@mowser41307 ай бұрын
I have a 2020 and I changed out everything you mentioned except the seat. For the breaks I just swapped to softer pads, changed the gearing and handle bars for the new ones. I can’t stand the bike life scene.. I think it’s a little cringe, but the bike is nice to cruise around on.
