Sorry for the late reply! It wasn't a preset! I usually edit most of my photos from scratch. Will look into making presets for everyone to use though!

Can you help me to understand the thought process behind decreasing the highlights and increasing the shadows in the "Light" section within Lightroom but then increasing the highlights and decreasing the shadows in the Curve section when creating your "S Curve"? Wouldn't these two adjustments counteract one another?

Your pictures are amazing! I'm using the Lumix S5IIX. I'm considering telephoto lens options. Of course, price and weight are considerations. Other than this, the other contenders are the Lumix 70-300; the brand new Sigma 70-200 f2.8 (and later the 2x converter), the Sigma 60-600 and the Sigma 150-600.

Hi Ryuta, I am curious about the strategy behind such a low Maximum ISO setting (200-400). Does this create a benefit to post production work? I usually set mine to 1650 but I recently watched a video where they were promoting an Max ISO of 6400 for under water video. I'm hoping you might be able to clear up some confusion I am having at the disparity of ISO levels. As you may have guessed , I do lack basic photography or camera principals! 🙂
@RyutaOg
@RyutaOg 7 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for the comment! In both photo and video, it's best to use a low iso as possible, as higher iso values make the footage grainy, and add noise. Increasing ISO makes it easier to shoot in less light, with a trade off for quality. If it's sunny, with clear waters and ur near the surface then definitely use 100-200 iso, as you'll have enough light. This is how u get the nicest looking gopro videos. They aren't really made to shoot well in low light conditions, so the higher iso videos don't look that great in my opinion. If ur shooting on a dark day at like 10 metres, then you might wanna use high iso like 1600ish. However the footage won't be very nice.

Hi Ryuta Do you have any preferences or tips on whether it is better to film in slow motion w/GoPro, or film at normal speed and slow the clips in post production? Thanks, Michael B

Hello. Quick question. If I don't own any editing software but have the hero 11. How can I edit my video to get that wonderful blue color at 2:13? Thanks.
@RyutaOg
@RyutaOg 8 ай бұрын
It's a little difficult without editing software but try change the color mode to saturated, with iso set to 100/200 in sunny condition!

@@RyutaOg OK. If I'm going on a vacation and expect to be snorkeling, are there any cheapish one month editing software subscriptions I could get to edit my videos once I get back from my trip? Thanks for your advice. I'll be sure to try that as well.

Do you have a problem with your GoPro over heating while shooting 5k underwater while in a case. Mine starts to over heat after probably 20 minutes. I was shooting at 120fps because it’s my first GoPro and i dont know what I’m doing. I did not have this issue shooting at 4k 60fps. Water temp was only 68. Depth of 30ft. I have a hero 10 black
@RyutaOg
@RyutaOg 8 ай бұрын
Higher frame rates tend to really overwork the gopro so if ur shooting 120 frames then try to keep the videos a little shorter each time! 5k/60 i've never really had that problem so far!
