Igor Krutoy from Ukraine (Jewish) People's Artist composer of Ukraine and russia. He started writing music for Dimash already in retirement. He left russia in 2022 when Ukrainians began to be pressed. Currently, he lives in the United States and has a green card.

Yes yes absolutely check out Nlack Friday and the rest of Starkid! The only thing I'll note is that Black Friday is a sequel to the show The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals!

Lilla and Anthony (along with Gaten Materazzo and Joshua Colley, not featured in the video for some reason) were my idols growing up. They made me think I could do anything (and I could not. Let’s get that fact straight)

I’ll get to them in part 2 🙂 Any specific recommendations?

@@nickhiggsthesinger There’s the “All For The Best” video with both of them, Joshua singing “The Confrontation” from Les Mis. I can’t think of anything more right off the bat, but there’s a TON for Joshua online from the last 10 years. Gaten not as much since he spent a good chunk of his childhood in Stranger Things.

'What if tomorrow comes' is from the Team Starkid musical Black Friday. They post their original musicals for free on yt and they are amazing! You should really check them out. Maybe you've heard of Darren Criss, he is one of the founders.

The thing I enjoyed most, beyond Diana setting the 'Gold' standard for this is precisely how it should always be sung, is the acting. The QoN is usually rather stationary if not fully stationary. She changed this and worked the stage. This became Diana Damrau in 'Die Zauberflote' by mozart and yes, little m

How to harmony???

SO TRUE!! I'm a (mezzo) soprano, i can read music ((i'm in an AP music theory class, even, and my sightreading/ear training is pretty good)), but i can't sing harmony for the /life/ of me. I tried!! I tried in choir and i still didn't get it, after weeks of practice and thinking i had it. It's definitely a problem - i do this as well in piano, in that when i'm playing something i'll instead play what sounds right :P

Is there no video of Tom Holland as Billy Elliot? He starred in the role from 2008 through 2010. Don't quote me on that, though. The only things I'm sure about are my soprano saxophone and judo. With those, I'm sure that I still have a lot to learn. Ouch, ouch, ouch. My leg really hurts today. I broke it in February. Well, I didn't break it. One of my judo students broke it for me. An orthopedic surgeon had to put it back together for me. Still, while I was watching this video, I wasn't aware of any pain. So thanks for the short reprieve.

I wish I could give you a discreet and concrete reason for my Pentatonics affliction. Pentatonics grabs me and elevates my perception, not just my mood. In other words, I look at myself and say what just changed, and I don't know. It's like enhanced cognition. I somehow have a more knowledgeable grasp of truth. A barrier has been broken.

Most beautiful, epic music written for the only vocalist who could do it. The composer Igor Krutoy is at the piano, the music at first was less "ethnic", Dimash added the folk instrument, and they change arrangement. There is a funny footage of them working on a piece, it ends, and then Dimash goes up. Igor Krutoy continued, Dimash went further up. They were so happy. I want him to do Superstar.
