Shame that Lamborghini's last car was Diablo, this brand had potential.

I think for you next video, you should cover the American street racing scene in Detroit back in the late 60s to early 70s. They had some legendary street cars like the Silver Bullet Plymouth GTX and the Sudden Death Mustang II, both of which were 10 second cars.

It's normal for a local DA to bring federal charges against a political opponent years after the statue of limitations for a crime Feds already dismissed.-- according to the conspirators.

I fancied one and wondered how I could afford it back in the day. Had a Chevette HSR, so quite an upgrade. Then lost that in a divorce & redundancy. VW Polo for a while.

Love my MR-S. The only other roadster I'd wanna cruise my mountains with is an S2000, which are currently 3x the price. Sorry Honda, you will have to wait, i'm busy attacking in my mid engine sport machine!

Great video of such an iconic car! I prefer them to the equivalent BMW M5. The Lotus Carlton and the Escort Cosworth were both produced in the middle of a recession and both infamous in their ability to provide crazy speed to the masses. But the consequences of them being stolen and used in nefarious activities has both sigmatised and elevated them Such a cool car... Great Content...❤

The sheer irony of the fanatics wearing thin blue line clothing (wearing/defacing/misrepresenting the US flag/images of US flag is a federal crime, never enforced though), while wildly breaking the law in dozens of ways is just so hilarious it wraps right back around to being pathetic.

The 7:54 time by Porsche for the gtr is even more as suspicious as Nissan’s 7:29 time. Horst von Saurma got a 7:38 out of the Nissan and he’s not a better driver than Walter rorhl

Thanks for the video and including Sabine. I’ve been seeing her and talking to her since I was going there since 2000. She was always friendly and was even in the same pitbox when we were racing VLN some time ago. She will be misssed. Yet, on another more ‘funny’ level, I was there when this Mercedes E-class Estate lost it’s real wheel. We did a few laps the same day, 27 April 2023, and we spent some time watching cars around the track.

That car was stolen by a drug fuelled thug called Andy Slamen and his mates. Slamen got crippled in the '90s when he drove a recovery truck high on heroin into the back of a tipper truck going south bound on the M5 between Portishead and Clevedon and he's still living in Pill just outside of Bristol. I remember him telling me how they stole it with a stolen Cossie. They also stole a Cossie out of a main dealer's workshop in Bristol and used it for various "things". Cavalier Turbos and Escort RS Turbos were all fair game to them. Karma got him good in the end. I hear he's had a stroke and open heart surgery in the past few years and is a shadow of his former self but still as fat as a house.

I had a 1993 Vauxhall Carlton. The 2.5l v6 automatic. Not the Lotus but the pedigree was in the dna. It was a monster. Completely unassuming in white and it did 0-60 in sub 8 seconds. I loved it.

wow that takes me back. i recall a friend telling me who had a carlton, that lotus had toyed with a calibre and the top speed of that was going to be 206mph - however the aero of the calibre meant the front went rather light and was not really a nice car to drive so fast. so the idea was scrubbed.
