Thanks Craig, this was excellent and congratulations to Mari on her brilliant play! (I'm a table tennis player/coach in California)

I was hoping to see incredible intels on the opponents’ weakness or a complete strategy change instead of just “be more consistent and change a little but here and there”. That’s kinda automatic during play or at least on every player’s mind.

Cracking insight and thanks for sharing Craig... although when it comes to orthadox rubbers vs long pips, i'm always rooting for the side of the orthadox rubbers.... perhaps because it's hard work against very good exponents like Mari ... btw i agree with the comment on the serve ...it's definately illegal.

Love this new type of video. Question though, in between the points where you tell Mari to maybe serve a certain way or put the ball a certain place, is that allowed or does it have to be blatantly obvious coaching?
@TheTableTennisServiceGuy

It wasn’t always allowed but has been allowed for quite a while. Advice is allowed so longs it doesn’t interrupt play.

Only way you can return with the same shot everytime is by playing a deep chop which will kill the spin on the serve.

Second is easier to disguise the spin, and also more side spin to bring the return back in my direction for a forehand attack.

Thanks! I did not realized, that ball should be as close to a table as possible on the contact. Not sure how I did blocked it from my mind. I've been struggling with fast serves because of that: sometimes it came out great, but more offten it was flying into a net, or to far. Btw, one of the best skidding serves I saw in Robert Gardos game.
