I was dating a young woman in 89-90 who had a Horizon, and after we stopped seeing each other, she got into a wreck (don't remember the details, who was at fault, etc.) in which the roof collapsed, crushing her head and causing brain damage. She (her family) sued Chrysler for millions and won.

i'm with you about that grille.....they did the same ugly grille with the newer MKS! The 2009 and 2010 i like that yr grille , reminded me of the 2000 town car grille..also not a fan of the rear styling, just looks boring to me.. they took the tail lights from the 2000 Lincoln mark 8 which i thought were aweful! the rear styling killed that car foe me!! they discontinued the towncar ,replaced it with the MKS>> then they turn around and discontinue the MKS! Which i love,,, and bring back the TOWNCAR! i think was a mistake...and i would not buy a that shrunken version of a once full size luxury car! i think the revamped Towncar was a flop! i don't even know if theirs a 2024 version of a Towncar! they shouldn't!! designers got lazy!!

It was actually a very good car considering the period it was Made in it was certainly better than anything ford and gm had at the time .

Hubris, certainly, but I would also add questionable engineering (possibly done under the banner of cost cutting and/or the aforementioned hubris) - see the number of recalls in recent years and the drop in reliability ratings. Would I shell out the kind of money Jeep is asking these days for a vehicle that I would lack confidence in? Yeahhh, NO. If it were built like a tank and engineered to flourish in a post apocalyptic landscape, I'd at least consider it.

Who cares about the SUV and various name plates. Wrangler needs war bulges and military square extruded bulges and inward bulges. Time to show up for duty. We are in WW3 now with all the dictators invading us.

I’ve lived in Orlando my whole life and the city has changed so much in the past few years for the worse due to all the people moving in during COVID. The only people thriving here are people with lots of home equity or those high paying jobs.

I had two Jeep XJ Cherokee as my Jeep experience. Two of my brothers had 6 cylinder manual transmission YJ's. My 93 year old father is still driving his 2000 Wrangler TJ. Jeep needs to make a simple, stripped down Wrangler. I'd like to see a stripped down, no nonsense, 4runner fighting Cherokee as well

Unfortunate... They get CRAP for fuel mileage. Most people have claimed they are getting around 22-23 MPG's at best. I have heard some stating they have gotten up to 25 MPG's. I've gotten 25 MPGs on my 5.3 Sierra and average around 21 MPGs usually. I've gotten 22 MPG out of my 6.6 Duramax, but usually around 18 MPG I've gotten 32 MPG out of my 2.8 Duramax Colorado. But averaged 25 MPG (after I lifted it and put larger wheels and tires) So, you can see why I think the milage on the New Canyon and Colorado's are CRAP!!! Plus, you can spend around $75K on a new Colorado or Canyon and not get most of the comfort creatures, like a build in garage door opener, or a powered rear sliding window. (Simple things) To me the engine may be fairly strong, but getting rid of the V6 and the mini-Duramax was a mistake. How about putting a turbo on the V6??? (440 hp 420 ft lbs.) Put the 3.0 Duramax in the Colorado and Canyon. (310 hp 500 ft. lbs.) Talk about power... (HP and Torque monster for sure) Plus with the 3.0 diesel you could get 35+ mpg in an even smaller truck. IMO: GM screwed the pooch on this one... They could have at least kept the other engines and added the 2.7L

Now buyers seem to want fancy and technology filled ex's. Most drivers don't have a clue how to drive a true 4x4. Soccer moms are the main buyers of Wranglers. Never to see a mountain trail or a desert runner.

I agree. Turn the Jeep back into a simple and rugged 4x4. Inexpensive and fun. Liberty was good. Anything that has a Fiat base is just not a Jeep.

A large part of Spanish production is French, for instance. It's been a long time since French manufacturers have relocated a large part of their production outside France. Mainly for reasons of lower manufacturing costs. In Spain, there are two very large French production sites, the Citroën factory in Vigo, and the Renault factory in Valladolid. In the Vigo factory alone, production is around 500,000 cars per year. And French manufacturers have many other factories in Europe, and all over the world, particularly in South America and China. If one add French cars produced in France, and all over the world, it's about a little bit less than 5 million French cars produced every year. And before Covid, production was about 6/7 million.

I had a 2022 JLU Rubicon loaded with lift and tires, paid $66k planned to trade in for a 2024 JL Rubicon 2 door, priced build in April and again in May, loaded for $53k. Went to do it in June and they raised the price around $7k and was only offered $40k for my Jeep. I sold my JLU and bought a 2004 Jeep TJ. I will never do business with Jeep again. Everybody who bought a JL and thought it was going to hold its value loses $20k because Jeep greed 🖕

Jeep also crapped itself when Mahindra tried selling the Roxor in the US because it 'looked too much like a jeep"- when they had the rights to build CJ3s and the Roxor is a descendant of that. If you feel threatened by a 15-20k vehicle more thensize and spirit of the original CJs, maybe you should consider making your own products the way they used to be.

I own three wranglers. My JK has been bulletproof my 22 JL hasn’t had issues yet but it’s still early. On the other hand my brand new 24 JL has been back to the dealer three times, new alternator, new pcm and 02 sensors. Now my engine light is back on again all with only 1300 miles. I’m done buying new Jeeps, price does not match quality.

The 2.2/2.5 engines had forged cranks and rods, and the turbocharged version had forged pistons as well. These cars saved Chrysler. Iacoca and Shelby knew exactly what to do to save Chrysler, they somewhat took a lesson from amc who used the gremlin/hornet platform for everything, Chrysler did that with the L/K/G bodies

I'm actually happy to see Jeep add the second row passenger airbags this year. I think it's long overdue. My husband leans towards Jeep, I lean towards Bronco. The way the Jeep now resembles the G Wagon is a huge no for me.

I know plenty of people who would rather have an old TJ than a new Wrangler. That is a weird phenomenon, because Jeeps are overly complicated now.
