2008 kia 2.7 Both of my cam dots are 1 tooth ahead of the mark, I've triple checked I'm T on the crank. Vehicle seemed to be running just fine, had it 3 years no issue, only doing timing belt because of failed water pump. Any thoughts? Put the new belt on with Both cam marks ahead of the groove by the tooth ??
@RustBeltAuto2 күн бұрын
Sometimes that happens when the crank jumps a tooth, or it was not assembled properly. It should have a camshaft correlation code of somekind.

Seems to me that somebody should sell individual wire with the pin connector already attached on one end. Like the wires you pulled out of the salvage pin block. I can buy a whole block with all the wires connected for $40 to $80, but then I have to cut all the wires off and splice all of them to use it. I think I will buy it and just pull a wire or two out of it to use in my old pin block. I looked around and couldn't find any individual wires.

Excellent video.... this gave me the confidence to do the work myself. I have done disk brakes for years and do them quite easily. I did the rear drums last week following your guidance but the end result looked pretty and clean but I have a very soft pedal. I have absolutely no parking brake. Before I start adjusting the parking brake is there anything I need to check with my work?
@RustBeltAuto3 күн бұрын
You want to adjust the shoes unil you feel a slight drag on the drums. You should feel it touch about 1/4 of the time every half revolution. Something lime that. Hard to explain. If your drum gets hot when you drive it, they are too tight.

Great video ❤ I checked it and followed the first steps on my escape. One of the connection was a little loose, gasket was dirty and I think my Freon might have exit from there. I ordered a vaccum and new o-ring to see if it was that. If not I’ll have to order the condenser, we’ll see Anyway with your video I’ll have no problem doing it, thank you ✌️

Hello, thanks for the video, question, if the pump is not leaking can it still be bad, that it could be pumping lower flow than needed?
@RustBeltAuto8 күн бұрын
I would say no. Your impeller would need to be broken, or rusted apart.
