What a boring man, the guest . 😅 Of course people need help to get organise, especially those who are creatives or hve trouble staying focused (many reasons). Good luck to him. Flipped over to my other, first, most loved language to listen to something that isn’t robotic & has a soul. Host is a sweetie.

Classical architecture based on beauty and symmetry is appealing because we are surrounded by ugliness under the "form follows function" modern dogma. People demand a return to harmony and beauty.

Boyo could not extend himself beyond boxing in his examples. There are many courageous ways to be a man. I am 72 and am a full time caregiver for my wife who has Alzheimers and Parkinsons. Manhood does not require all this macho shit. But manhood changes with age and Boyo is very young but thinks he knows more than he does from an elder man's viewpoint.

Love it. I think of Jocko's "default to action" or "default to forward center of mass" to emphasize the importance of movement > merely thinking. What software did you use to record your screen + video combo?

Thanks bro! Great connection. I'm a fan of Jocko. Most ppl have a bias towards reflection and not action. I used Descript to record. It's good for podcasters. I'd recommend Loom for general use.

I am also trying to combine GTD method with PARA, you really showed a good example, thanks so much! Hope more people can find this valuable video!

24-25 minutes: I've also heard Bard talk about "shamanoids" on a number of occasions. My understanding of them is essentially the same as yours, Daniel. I'm thinking that maybe, in 2023, the shamanoid world view doesn't include created religions for themselves. or for anyone else, for that matter. Many/most of them have moved past that. You might say, "awwn NO, Mrs./Mr. Shamanoid, don't leave the people of the world behind! We need something that functions like religion! There's nobody that can do it better than you! You gotta help us!" and the shaman of the world just shrug and say, "mehhh....."

Mmm, which movie will help? Maybe Elf, where the dad forgot his son existed during business meetings? We live energy blind. When the power is off, there is a noticeable useless human individualism, maybe even a Dunbar of 3 friends in the entire world, the personal pursuit of a wealth paradigm, in the machine of linear growth modelling on a finite planet. You know the rest maybe? Time is lost when we are having fun (learning, de-patronizing, negotiating, and above all ‘living’) “Can’t buy me love” is a song of opposites, ‘nobody told me so’. A discussion on stage theory may bring light to the objectivity and harm in educated belittling of others. The placement of a self, is we were and all remain capable to remember our learned path and it’s failures, this is where empathy lives.

Stumbled onto this from the home page reccs--- the title and thumbnail caught my attention but the conversation was so captivating and enlightening I almost felt like I had to take notes lol. As a “shadow artist” or non-practicing artist, I found so much clarity and inspiration from this description of the creative process: energy in the body is transferred to a material, creating an art that embodies something archetypal, the artist is affected by the process, and the process repeats. This concept of embodiment felt like a twist on a favorite quote from The Book of Symbols, “breath animates the clay of our being”-- it resonates to me as a feedback loop between essence, body, and material. I’ve been developing my understanding of archetypes through the enneagram and attempting to create art through pottery, but I don’t have any real experience making art and I can start to feel the stagnation that comes with creative isolation. It feels intimidating to attempt to “collectivise with other artists”, however this interview was reinvigorating and I would love to connect with other artists on IG or discord! /roughmosaic (#9601) Great interview.
