How durable are the filters? Like is it use twice and the filter is corroded and destroyed? Or are they built to last a few weeks at sea at least per filter

This thing is not by any means a reliable and solid desal unit...maybe works for 50+ gallons, but will not work for more than that.....total waste of money....Just look at the "leaders" - like RAINMAN.... their units cost around $8-10K USD.....go figure. Sounds like the FTX of desal units!....

You can pick up a cheap hydrometer for around 12$ ....Tds and salinity are 2 completely different things it would be nice to see an actual salinity reduction instead of total dissolved solids.

It looks like a nice idea, but I wonder if they could just hook it up to a 12v system?? I cant see myself or anyone cranking that thing for 2 liters of water per hour. YOu probably sweat more than you produce!

Exactly - Every survival expert out there would tell you not to bust your ass for two hours just for 2L of water...
