It looks like a nice idea, but I wonder if they could just hook it up to a 12v system?? I cant see myself or anyone cranking that thing for 2 liters of water per hour. YOu probably sweat more than you produce!

Exactly - Every survival expert out there would tell you not to bust your ass for two hours just for 2L of water... You can pick up a cheap hydrometer for around 12$ ....Tds and salinity are 2 completely different things it would be nice to see an actual salinity reduction instead of total dissolved solids.
