I was in Stuttgart 2 weeks ago. After another Scotland tragedy. In Euros v Hungary. Anyway, I was so pished, had separated from chums, had no idea where I was. Couldn't work out my Uber. Fucked up multiple attempts. So. This car with music coming out of it was stuck at a junction. I offered them a small fee to take me home. To my hotel in Ludwigstrasse. They agreed. Asked me if I am from Schottland (I had a kilt on). Ja! Am I nae! Proceeded to put this song on, blasting through town, with me singing pretty much every word. They loved this. Bar the eens I did not ken. Was amazing. Mix of some other TS and Cure all the way to my hotel. Even though I was absolutely mangled, this will be a memory that will take some budging. Cheers. x

The first time I heard this song it was live, opening for the cure. They’re so underground and amazing I can’t believe I’ve never heard their music. Experiencing it live was something I couldn’t even explain, I was like “how have i never heard this before??” Truly amazing band and they were so good to the crowd

I've binge listened to the same 4 songs by this band for a whole week. Fucking amazing. I love how his accent bleeds through into his vocals. -VTr -[10 good reasons for modern drugs] -there's a girl in the corner -I/m not here (missing face) No comparison, but they kind of remind me of the first 2 albums of 'Editors'

I don't think I need to list the thousands of bands that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Joy Division. Now, if you like Twilight Sad more than Joy Division, that is complete different story. @@alanarkham143 Ah, you're one of those people that think Joy Division "invented post-punk". Sure, think whatever you like. If Ian Curtis had lived longer they wouldn't have been nearly as famous. Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Fall, Talking Heads and Wire were all better and more important

So sad they cancelled the south american tour, I really wanted to see them live, especially opening for The Cure. I love that this song has that Joy Division's She's lost control vibe. Good one!

A HUGE fan of the MASSIVE amount of almost unnecessary NOISE in this track. The reverb, distortion, other effects, synth truly fill out this track. These lads have a way about them. Very versatile troupe, these

"Arbitrary" would have served the purpose. The "extra" work and layering on this track actually "make" the track gorgeous. The entire lp is tremendous and is reminiscent of The Cure's "The Top." Both ridiculous lp's, right? Yeah, thought so. Just love what you love. Comparisons are OK, as long as all comparisons are drawn to "other" good tunage. You pick up what I am putting down, I KNOW! Be well

This album has some of Twilight Sad's best songs. Still, is the production maybe a little murky, maybe drenched in too much reverb? They've always been wonderfully dense, striking that balance between beauty and noise - but I was listening to the whole album and was thinking some of the tracks needed room to breathe. Am I just hearing things?

You're not necessarily WRONG, it's more a matter of taste I think. I absolutely love that aspect of Nobody Wants to Be Here..., and I think it's their best album by far. That said, I'm the kind of guy that, both when listening to music and playing it myself, thinks there basically can't be too much reverb so maybe I'm not the best guy to have an opinion lol
