i like having and flipping different knives because they behave differently and sometimes just messing around i discover new tricks or combo strings naturally which i will then carry over to my other balis.

also if you have a prysma pro in 6061 aluminum it's closer to neutral than the prysma pro in 7075. I've seen some prysma pros in 6061 that are in silver like the one you have here.

I have a reasonably big collection and the newest addition is the AS nami with the Di blade. It did take a bit to get used to the balance and thinner handles on it but, the more that I flip it, the more that I really like it. It's unique enough that I feel like it fits well in my collection. I like variety. I don't want a bunch of balis that all flip the same. But, I also had to lightly sand and smooth out a couple of parts of the Di blade so that it fit and flipped better. I also had to tune the bushings when I got it, which kind of sucks. But, once all of that was done, I ended up with a really good flipper. Not my favorite in my collection but, definitely one of my better balisongs.

Looks pretty good for your first time! To me it looks like you didn't apply the heat evenly, which is why you only have a few spots where you can really see the lightnings. You can still heat it up again and get the color you want! Maybe look into a color scheme where you can see which colors you can achieve

Question, if it’s already heated and quenched can I just start heating it up again or would I need to strip the oxide layer first

Cool man! An antropic finish seems like it takes a few attempts to dial in the process. I'd like to try it eventually. I used induced current w/ variable voltage for my first ano and still feel like theres lots to learn. Happy modding!

i dont care about price or if it feels premium or cheap, i flipp what i feel on that day and mostly it depends on the weather. if its hot and high humidity i just cant flip a titanium knife, its just to sticky, to much grip.. certain satin finish balis like the kraken too.. on that days i either flipp some beadblasted or g10 knifes like my orion 1.5 or rep... if its cold and dry i pick up titanium or satin finish knifes... g10 is an allrounder, depends on the g10... but if we go back to price... my favourite flipper of all time is the squidy AL.. idk, it just fits my preference so well, its basically all i need.
@pez_flips10 күн бұрын
I’ve been hearing people say that the squidy al is like insane. Is that something I should pick up? I would probably get the armed shark one since it’s on bushings instead of washers

lol you think the wzm cygnus is grippy? i have it too, but the aluminium is more slippery than a vulp in a cold dry climate and the g10 is so smooth that it does nothing. i love the cygnus too but i dont flip it that often cuz it just flyes out of my hand... i rly wanna try a real one with actual grip
@pez_flips10 күн бұрын
Yeah I live in Oregon so it’s less dry here. I know that you can swap out the scales for authentic ones on the WZM. Maybe using rough sandpaper on the scales would help too. I’m curious what the real one feels like as well

If you just sanded the blade littlebit so you wouldn't need to use the washers at all? at the same you could also polish the spine to get nice bling to it.
@pez_flips10 күн бұрын
You are right I could sand the blade. Mostly I saw people sand the washers or use rep washers because they are very thin. I think it needed the extra weight in the back to mark up for the blade being so heavy
@JENi-vx3yn10 күн бұрын
@@pez_flips but you would end up taking up more weight out of the blade, making it a lot lighter overall and be more handle biased?
@pez_flips10 күн бұрын
@@JENi-vx3yn yeah I mean to sand down ALL of the blade would be a ton of work too I just stuck with the extra handle weight
