The battery is giving it more amperage, which means more flow of voltage, so you're getting closer to that rating of 650CFM.

@Mr-Chris You should install a hose clamp on the end of your load block valve at the outlet of the Garretson demand regulator. Perhaps you've already done this, my comment is new relative to the age of this video.

Hi! Does anyone know if a tri fuel generator already has a gas regulator that can stop fuel flow should the generator motor for whatever unknown reason shuts off on its own? If there isn't a regulator already on board the generator, then where should the regulator be installed, on the generator, or the gas line near the meter? Who can perform this type of work, plumber? Electrician? HVAC installer?
@Werno157 күн бұрын
Generally a Tri-Fuel generator has solenoid(s), one for each fuel selection. This is an electronic switch that opens/closes depending on the selector switch that is selected on the control panel. The low pressure regulator for propane that feeds the carburetor should be sufficient for natural gas, you'll want to see if it has a 4 oz or 6 oz inlet pressure. This regulator will look like a "pancake" and may have the name Garrettson on it. Garrettson is a popular brand for demand regulators, which is intended to shut off if the engine is not drawing a vacuum. In the video above, OP "primed" the regulator (he held the spring/button open for 10 seconds) which is an important step to get the natural gas flowing by lifting the diaphragm off the seat. This aftermarket conversion can be done by anyone, but if you are not comfortable, then a plumber should be upgrading this system for you. Best of luck!

@@doradean3097 All good, I was in the same boat a little less than a year ago. It's fairly simple once you realize it's really just two or three parts to make an engine run on a gaseous fuel. If the generator is already equipped for Propane, then the conversion to NGas is simple. If it's a standard gasoline generator, you'll need to retrofit the carburetor for gas service. Buy the biggest generator you can afford, I've never said to myself, "...man, I have too much power in this generator"
@doradean30976 күн бұрын
@@Werno15 Agreed, it's way better to have extra power not needed than to have not enough! Thanks again. Next thing I need to learn about is bonding and floating neutrals on a generator, thanks to people's comments leading me to explore issues I wouldn't even know to consider had they not mention it!

Decent EGO is $700!! More than a Honda HRN..

$260 sounds very reasonnable. It looks good but definitely not genuine inside: Ego batteries had a weird sleeve around each cell supposed to improve heat dissipation. EDIT: I checked your short where you compare it to a genuine, I'm surprised that one doesn't have the green sleeves either. That battery was coming from a reputable supplier?
@Mr-Chris23 күн бұрын
That's exactly what I thought until I opened up a genuine 12AH EGO battery. kzfaq.infoV0FJEpQiu4Q?si=ulZfV4neVpoehk0p
@NicksStuff23 күн бұрын
@@Mr-Chris Yeah I saw that after and edited my comment. 100% certain it's genuine? It's possible the larger battery don't need as much heat dissipation because with more cells in parallel the current delivered by each one is lower. And foregoing the sleeves allows for a more compact design.

It wouldn't be such a crazy contraption if you were on a different battery platform but I think getting the adapter was a good idea and there is something you might not realize or forgot to mention the ryobi is rated for holes up to 1in the Bauer you have is rated for 1/2 in and it's like $60 there is a 1in Bauer that is like 80 bucks you probably should have got that one you can do a lot more with it and for small holes you could use your regular hammer drill

Stop being a brand bigot. There nothing wrong with Ryobi or any other less expensive brand, they are all made in the same factory in china. Dewalt and Ryobi are owned by Black and Decker who themselves are owned by Stanley and none of them manufacture anything themselves . They buy them from a third party manufacturer and have them badged up. Pay a visit to the factory’s in china and see for yourself.

We have a super silly question…how do you switch from soap back to water? We have the same model but there are a few differences one of those is we still have the 4 different nozzles. Do you just switch the tip?? So confused…Thanks!
@Mr-ChrisАй бұрын
The nozzle, when you use the soap nozzle, the pressure washer senses the low pressure and pulls soap from the soap Reservoir. When you switch to a high pressure nozzle, it stops pulling from soap and only uses water.
