I was at a special event recently an had watched the pre-production unit being used. It did a great job washing the vehicles and even with their foam cannon attachment. To get the TURBO top performance it needs two batteries and yes using TURBO will drain them quickly. Yes, it does come with a special hose to pull from a bucket similar to the Karcher (Dextermorga asked this). Great sized unit and not sure about the GMP rate but EGO will always improve over time and demand from the market. I am anxious to see the pricing for my mobile detailing business as performance is satisfactory for my needs.

Is it possible they're just being honest or naive and that 1.2 gpm figure is at the 3200 psi? That actually wouldn't be bad for an electric unit, with a larger nozzle you could in theory dial it in to around 2+gpm at around 1800-2000 PSI. But it's more likely based in my experience with other manufacturers that it'll be 1.2 gpm and hit around 1800-2000 psi. Most companies advertise the highest theoretical GPM and psi but leave out the fact that you aren't going to reach both of those figures because increasing one requires decreasing the other. I detail cars and I shoot for around 2gpm and as close to 1000 psi i can get. Anything beyond that is great imo.

my greenworks 3000 psi unit does roughly 2800 psi at 1.2 gpm and thats from me testing it with a manometer , stopwatch and bucketfill test. changing nozzles greatly increases flow

I detail cars and my Karcher K1700 electric corded unit does 1700psi at 1.2 gpm and does a great job, including producing rich foam. more gpm is better of course, but anything over 2000psi risks damage to the vehicle. I like the concept of cordless and have 5 Ego tools for my yardwaork, but if you have multiple detailing appointments in a day you are gonna need a lot of large expensive batteries - that will dwarf the cost of the machine. And until there is a cordless air compressor, you are gonna still need a generator unless you have guaranteed access to shore power. Maybe that is Ego’s next product? It would be really nice to leave the generator at home…

I love the idea, but I haven’t seen anyone washing a sidewalk or driveway yet. My current electric pw does a great job on my car, so I wouldn’t purchase the EGO if the pressure isn’t high enough. I also worry about how long the batteries last.

Regret buying, not recommended. The status lights to tell you powered on/off, pressure level, and Bluetooth pairing are invisible in normal cloudy or sunny daylight. This is true for the unit itself and for the gun/handle. NOTE: the status lights on the batteries are clearly visible in sunlight. This means that one cannot tell if the unit is powered on/off, the pressure level, or Bluetooth pairing. When turning the unit off, the unit continues to run for 10-15 seconds so one is not sure if you pressed the button hard enough the first time. This is particularly a problem if one uses hearing protection when using this unit. I returned the unit today.
