Complaining about getting free items is a level of entitledness I never thought possible.

LOT Polish Airlines charged me business class ZED while I downgraded to Economy Class because premium cabins checked in full. I never got the downgrade refund flying Warsaw to Chicago. LOT Polish Airlines needs to upgrade the ZED ticketing system for other airline staff. SAS and Finnair have the downgrade refund feature that if you list Business Class ZED and get only economy class, you will immediately get a downgrade refund.

There's Cloud 9 restricted and Cloud 9 Deluxe- what's the difference? Cheers

It’s truly as comfortable as he says and the staff are unbeatable. I’ll be flying with them more often. Only criticism is the FRA check in that also gave incorrect information for a connecting flight. Almost missed it.

Excellent and thoughtful report. You need to visit the country next time. Ethiopia will astound you in everyway. No country on earth, has so much elevation in one country. From the semien mountains in the north at 4400 meters above sea level to the danakil depression below 130 meter from sea level. In between these extremes you get large rivers, afro alpine resort, alkaline lakes and many more. Possibly Ethiopia is one of the most beautiful countries anywhere in the world. Lalibela, Wonchi crater, Gorgora resort, Hala Kela, Harrars Hyena feeding men. Dont forget in about 5 or 6 years time Ethiopia will have a big airport as big as Paris CDG 100 million passenger with 4 runway system ! watch the space; construction has begun apparently it will cost around 5 Billion dollar.

I will never understand why the likes of Lufthansa, United Airlines, Delta rank higher than China Airlines, especially Turkish Airlines ranking 7th when they operate a sh*tty business class 2-2-2 configuration, ugly cabin, their 1-2-1 business class in their 787 is underwhelming. Just because of a chef on board which is pretty much useless on board since he is not doing any warm cooking and Jose Mourihno is doing their advertisement ? And here amazing airlines like China Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Asiana Airlines and Thai airways rank so low on skytrax ?

the cabins are very nice! apart from this, i have totally different experiences. they are not nice. service on board was a mixed bag of impeccable service and total disinterest and chaos. food was horrible so far. i don't know how you arrived at the lounge shown in your video. i am being sent to an apocalypcit basement lounge that is crowed, low quality and was of my most horrible loung experiences of recent memory. i also tried to very politely write to china airlines and make a few suggestions to improve the experience. response: zero.

Was the bathroom in the close proximity in 4C or was it in the front?

Having flown with Emirates and Qantas, I'd recommend Emirates - its business class is far superior.

Really nice detailed review. What I like about China Airlines' business class seat configuration is they use a 1-2-1 as opposed to 2-2-2 on several other Asian carriers. That means more space and room for the passenger. The meals look scrumptious, hope you get to try more Asian specialties in your future travels. Bon voyage 🍹

Iberia is probably the best ratio quality-price company. Nice service, excelent food, and one of the companies with less accidents. By the way, Iberia was the second most punctual airline in Europe and fifth in the world . It has improved a lot in the last years.

Well the secret is out! This is one of my favourite routes. I’ve taken it 2X’s now in business. Not only is the 787 a phenomenal plane, but the Air Tahiti Nui flight attendants are warm and the service is above any US international carrier in business. It’s not a “flagship” business seat meaning it’s a smaller seat and there are 2 seats on the window. It’s the business seat that AA uses for their domestic trans-continental flight, but it’s a good seat and the service in my opinion makes up for it. The BEST part of the flight are the high end Tahitian rums (which might be served upon request only) but now you know. So enjoy one of my favourite airlines. You’ll love it so much, you’ll want to continue on to Tahiti once you land at LAX. Safe travels ✈️

I flew the same flight in mid April. I had a great experience onboard. Sat in a window seat with the seat next was unoccupied. However at CDG the lounge was closed because of some restructuring due to the Olympic games. I will fly it again if I have the opportunity but better business class seats would be a game changer for them.

The author knew he was going to be flying an older aircraft. Also, never thought anyone would complain about their bedding and their amenities being placed on their seats.

Comparing the technology and cabins of a much older generation of airliner to the newest ones is silly. Comparing apples to oranges-

sabena was great airline and had many flights to US but not brussels only jfk lufthansa destroyed beautiful airlines such SWISS AIR today swiss is far behind of swissair and lovely Austrian airlines its sad but true but I must tell you these seats are so uncomfortable

THE cabin looks like a dated leisure carrier. But your dressed as though you expected to be flying a leisure carrier.
