Hello. I would like to visit the Vatican on Sunday and go to the mass that the Pope addresses. What do I need to do that? Do I need a reservation?

We are not sure how to do that. If you want to go to the papal blessing is at noon on Sundays in Piazza San Pietro

If you're looking for Lyft or Uber pickups downtown, they are prohibited from picking up or dropping at the cruise terminal (we get as many as 16,000 cruise passengers per day transiting, this helps to control the auto traffic). There are blue signs that point to the pickup areas which are [this information current as of April 2024] on Burrard St at Cordova St, and further down (west) along Canada Place toward Thurlow St. When you receive your confirmation, head for the numbered pickup spot. #1 is on Burrard, #2 is on Canada Place.

"Lift" restaurant is hardly "a few steps", albeit a lovely walk from the terminal on a nice day. Getting cash from ATMs (sometimes called ABMs) with a credit card will generally incur instant finance charges and potentially a cash advance fee, plus some credit cards add a foreign currency charge. Best to just pay with a credit card, they're almost universally accepted. If you can find a Vancouver ATM that belongs to the same network (e.g. Cirrus) as your debit card from home, that'll be a cheaper option. Even without affiliation, you may be able to get cash against a debit card; ATMs will complete the transaction with a small fee - say $2 to $5 CAD. It's natural, given the proximity between Gastown and Chinatown, to visit one after the other. To avoid the problem area, use Cambie St to West Pender. A personal favourite "Meat and Bread" is on the way - corner of Cambie and Hastings. Then continue on to Pender St and left toward Chinatown.

Where is the best place to stay in Venice that is money for value and convenient? Need to take a train to Ravenna to catch the boat to Greece after visiting Venice?

One of the best area for accommodation that is not too expensive is in the Cannaregio area of Venice, you can take a look at our video about visiting Venice for the first time for more information. We don’t understand the question about the train

We are visiting Venice (3 full days with 2 travel days) first then taking the train to Florence. Our train will arrive early on Saturday. We have 3 full days in Florence with 2 additional days but they are travel days. Should we expect everything to be closed on Sunday? We want to do a day trip as well to Pisa/Lucca. Any advise

In Florence city center most stores will be open. Lucca is definitely a wonderful place to visit. In Pisa it is better to go at sunset when most day tourists leave.

@@TravelAddictsLife Thank you for your reply. I was asking more about sites like Galleria Dell’Accedemia. Are they accessible every day of the week? I have noticed some tour websites (like Get your Guide) don't have any tours available Mondays, so I guess that is their day off. But are all the sites still accessible?

Going on the Costa Toscana for a Mediterranean cruise in July with my gf. This will be our first ever cruise, I ordered before checking reviews and was a bit bummed out since the reviews seems to be all over the place, but thanks to your videos regarding the ship I should be able to get through most of the confusing hurdles and know what to expect. Is it possible to take a big size luggage? The ones you checked on the airport? Or does it have to be small? Also, another question, is it true you have to climb some stairs for the train and that it would be difficult to do it with big luggage? I hope you reply, I am planning my trip and I am really concern about this, specially 'cause I am travelling with my mom.

Hi again! I was able to purchase tickets to the Colosseo for our port day at Civitavecchia. My concern is we dock at 6:45am and our arrival time for the Colosseo is 10:30am. Do we exit Roma Termini as well from the train station? Also, because we are arriving June 26th, I thought I'd purchase train tickets on the Treinitalia App you recommended but it asks for specific times to board (and we don't know what time we'll actually be able to make it to the train station). Do you know if we could still board on a later time if we purchased a ticket for a specific time? Thanks a million gentlemen! My wife and I have been taking notes on all of your content (including spots to eat).

Hello there from Termini station you can take the metro to Colosseum. it is only 2 stops. If you bought a regular train from Civitavecchia you can change it anytime before you do you your checkin on the app.

It will depend on traffic. Keep in mind that the private tour will go from the port to Florence, while if you take the train you will need a taxi, or bus, from the port to the train station and then you will have to wait for the train,

I want to like Naples, all I see is filth and graffiti though. I was in some Ukrainian towns in 2018 and all of them were cleaner and less rundown despite the collapse of the Soviet Union and its repercussions. In some parts of the old town in Naples I seriously asked myself if I am still in Europe or some 3rd world country.

On the hair appliances I suggest buying a flat iron or curling iron with euro plug before your trip. I have one I’ve had for six years bought on eBay works great, my daughter bought a flat iron with euro plug on Amazon. No need to bring a hair dryer everywhere you stay should have one.
