Rot? What if you have stone or concrete countertops? Pause. Close your eyes and imagine your kitchen sink. WHEN THE HELL DO YOU HAVE WATER ON THE OUTSIDE LIP OF YOUR SINK? Even when doing dishes, it’s negligible. Figure out how to aim for the drain before trying this. If your countertops are buckling and rotting due to that then that’s 100% user error or crap kitchen design. A beed of silicone that’s gonna rub off the first 5 seconds of cleaning isn’t really gonna hold up overtime.

yes mixed with water , not to much dish soap . Only a few pumps to a bottle of water

The key is how much you put in the joint. Try being consistent with the amount of caulk you use.

I've also seen Windex glass cleaner being used in place of soap so it doesn't leave a soapy residue.
