Chomsky is an honorable man and probably knows more about international relations than the current Senate, House and the President combined. If only they had the sense and the humility to ask his advice. He is truly a storehouse of information that the national media consistently overlooks. What are they afraid of? A man who refuses to compromise his integrity? We need him more than ever.

I agree that things need to change, but more low paying jobs are not the answer. The economic gap needs to be narrowed. The wealthy need to share more of the profits with the working class who labor to make them rich. The focus should be on economic equality.

In a world where corporations write laws, regulations and decide taxes, states wage war and participate in other power games with their corporate masters, a general economic system based on the premise that greed is good. Well, what do you get? A stresed population who carry the system on his shoulders and a ruined environment. Why not a revolution earlier? Corporate media, corporate advertising, corporate bought political parties and so on. Finally a revolution, let's change this together :D

The economic crisis in Argentina a few years back was just as devastating to the nation's economy as our current crisis. Instead of unemployment, the workers took over the factories and ran them themselves. Had they not done that, the Argentinian economy would still be in the toilet. As a practical matter, does anyone know of a way to connect people who wish to join resources to start up an employee owned/run businesses today?

The democratic nature of these rallies is fascinating, perhaps now with social media technology this would actually work on a large scale. I fear that allowing individuals to represent the movement will lead towards corruption from outside forces looking to co-opt the movement for their own agenda.
