Sorry if this isn’t s a dumb question are you using 4S batteries or 6s batteries for this run ? Reason I ask is I am looking at this combo also with either the 2500kv or 2250kv motor on 4S or possibly 6s

I only use 4s batteries for this now. I did try 6s and it was daft. I have gone back to the 2250kv motor now too. Keeps cooler and still plenty fast

Nice one fella! Looked great fun... been reading on the Mendip website regarding tyres for this class, are they really that strict and precise for that particular type / make of tyre? They look almost slicks... I've got my 1/8 ZD Fiesta (which I've used at Carew) sat there needing some TLC, I'd have to change the motor to a 2000kv but otherwise, it'd be good to go at Mendip on 4S. .

Yes mate they are the control tyre just to keep everything fair. And they work OK to be honest. Highly recommend doing some racing there although I'd probably stick to 3s as its just alot easier to drive

I love finding new bash spots.With a place like that ya spoilt for choice jump wise.I run my rigs with sharp brakes ,but that machine has some well turned up brakes....keep on keeping on.✌️

Nice to see another Redberth member trying another track! I race at Redberth (Saundersfoot) when I'm home from sea, I use the black Hobao Truggy, and an old Hyper 7 converted to brushless, amongst other RC's, they're great fun. I much prefer them to my 1/10 buggies. We're starting back up again in April, some track prep' and then the usual meet every Wednesday evening from 6pm to 9pm. I think we're hosting an event in June too?? I'm going to Deerdale in July to do the BRCA meeting with my SWORKz e-Truggy, with it being 100% Astro' there I've been advised to buy a set of Schumacher Spirals (silver, for when things are damp or wet), and a set of yellow mini pins for when it's dry. I've seen some folk snip away the outer few lines of pimples off their tyres for when using on Astro', eliminates that traction role. I've been tempted with the VS2e roller, I've owned a few Hobao RC's over the years and not one has ever put a foot wrong, really impressed with them, particularly the Hobao 10SC which I'm using indoors at the moment in Carew. So much so I took the Hobao Truggy to Herts with me last weekend for my first BRCA event in 30 years, and I was lapping quicker with that than with the SWORKz. To be fair the SWORKz is brand new, and I'm still finding its best set up to suit how I drive. Great progress with your driving as the vid went on, some nasty little lumps and bumps on that track here n there. And I like the triple jumps, you were nailing those, well done haha!

This Craig is it? Yeh I like to try out different places hoping to get round a bit more this year. Recently got myself 2 new hobao truggys. Ones a hyper sste/st pro hybrid. Bit of a mix and match of parts and also got a brand new st pro that I need to build and convert to brushless hoping to do some racing with them. Absolutely love my hobao cars. Looking to get a hyper 8sc next

Hello mate, yeah it's me! Can't go wrong with Hobao, they're brilliant. Never suffered any issues with them. Lengthen the wheelbase on your Truggy's, makes a noticable difference in handling, and not so twitchy when steering. There's a spacer behind each rear hub, just move them ahead of the hub, gives another 3mm of wheelbase or thereabouts..

Nice bash! Done any updates to the steering? I got the v2.5 and don't think it steers that well. I have a HD ss on a table, not installed yet. Hoping it will improve things.

Yes this one has the losi lmt servo saver fitted. Massive improvement over stock. Have a video on my channel showing the installation. Have used a gpm servo saver recently too and that seems to be doing well too

Too much power I think. I've geared it down 2 teeth on the pinion now hopefully tame it a bit. Ye had spare pistons too. Going to try 6s shocks next I think

The two big screws holding down the front shock tower supports to the top of the chassis also hold your sterring cranks. Check em.

Il be honest I havnt had to buy any parts yet. I bought a spare set of shock pistons and shafts when I first bought the car. No problem getting hold of them

No it's one of the later versions and was supplied with the older mt plus 2 shafts

@daig1984 happy days. Havnt had an issue with these shafts yet just a piston. But my steering does feel weird lately. I can turn the trucks wheels from lock to lock while the car is on and servo saver is all the way tight

It's a great track although it is still a bit of a drive for me and the chances are it won't still be there come the end of the year. Hopefully they will find a good new location to go bigger and better
