Surface lay works much better if you remember to leave enough room to burry the new growth. Straw, leaves, mulch.. even shredded paper. More depth equals greater harvest.

It does taste better than a grapefruit but you can’t eat it like a grapefruit. Like you can’t just peel and eat it…it’s a process. Not as bad as a pomegranate tho. Tasty either way

Hi Mark, I DIM also. I love your videos. I am very handicapped this year. 75 years old, pinched nerves in the middle to lower spine, along with Rheumatoid Arthritis all on top of Multiple Sclerosis taking its tole on my old body. If it weren't for my love of gardening and watching it grow, as well as I love fresh garden vegetables (not as bland tasting as store bought vegetables. On top of all that I have enough food supplied in my house to last a good 10 years. People don't get it as to why you grow your own food (as much as possible). Well it helps to keep thousands of dollars in our bank account each year. I can cook a great meal anytime for less than $5.00 anytime. A great meal here in the USA bought out of the store (every ingredient) would cost anywhere from $50.00 to $100.00. A lot of people aren't aware that by raising your food and making a meal from scratch: You must learn how to fix them to where they are tasty. The KZfaq internet has tons of great recipes. One I love is shrimp fried rice, which you can use chicken, and pork also instead of shrimp. Your friend Jessie from Arkansas USA. PS. Gardening is what is keeping me on my feet and not totally unable to walk.

tip use the tinny potatoes in soups, mix with vegies and ground beef, make a picadillo with chayote, green beans and the tinny potatoes...add ground beef and put that on tortillas (gallos)...

TUDaH RBaH (thank you very much, in Hebrew). Hayah fed the YSHRALites when they were in the wilderness. // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah Asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). ...for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2).

Is there any reason why you don't grow your own seed? I heard there is a benefit in replanting seeds that grew in your specific soil.

You would have grotten more potatoes in the “middle bed” if you had chosen indetermined varities. The method in that bed (which you Call the right one) is for indetermined kinds, the one in the other beds are for determined varities.

Nice video. You might want to invest in a pinch point bar to dig up massive roots. Super easy to pry without slicing the roots. Also I noticed you shred paper for the composter. Excellent worm bedding material. Would you consider red wiggler worm composting? Probably the fastest way to recycle nutrients of fruit and veggies I've ever seen

If you want to do it by hand, you just need to soften the fruit for a while before cutting it into 1/4s and then you can juice them by hand
