Some guys like me uses the m51 as a pretty good indirect fire killer bc of the slow speed HEAT, some of the enemies dont even know from where is coming the shot, better if you have the rangefinding skill at max

I'm grinding 6.3 usa right now and that's the realest opinion I've heard it's still a good tank (a slow one though) and if you know where to aim the only thing you can't kill in a single shot in this thing is a tiger 2 (you can still capula it) and some soviet heavy tank in an uptier

I mean I love it, but it's shit lol. No acceleration, looses all speed when turning and at it's own BR it faces post war props/turbo props + early jets in uptiers. Great for bombers though. If anyone bothered to play them anymore.

In reality the moment you open fire you are targeted by every enemy machine gun equipped tank and plane. Shooting at one plane is fine but in RB multiple planes will attack you at once which is impossible. Also the sound is so bad you regularly cannot hear the planes at all. Wham, you’re dead without warning. New players need to be aware Gaijin heavily nerfed all SPAA long ago

CAS strafe all these lightly armoured Centurion type tanks endlessly. It becomes pointless to spawn because you ever reach a decent position before being hit by planes guns. They don’t even need bombs. Very, very frustrating & expensive

I have to disagree about the neutral steer being mostly miscellaneous: I really helps adjusting your shooting position, which other wheely bois have lots of trouble with. also helping in concealing your direction of retreat when deploying smoke, a "normal" wheeled vehicle would be much more predictable

I've even noticed that when I use some vehicles that are the same as those of other nations (ie. many WWII French tanks are basically lend-lease US tanks, with the same cannons, ammo, etc.), the cannon from the French version very often fails to kill a Soviet/Russian tank, while the same shot with the same cannon but from a US Sherman will frequently allow me to pen and get a kill. I'm sure the thing is even more rigged than everybody thinks. So there's actually the more than famous « Russian bias », but also some I'd say « French specific modifiers » which specifically decrease the performance of French ammunition when it's used against a Soviet tank. I could bet a fortune that it's something real. But ofc, like in WoT, nobody will ever be able to find any evidence of this. This secret is well kept..

Hey HowToPlay, which is your favourite TT? I've challenged myself to casually grind an entire tree to at least 8.0 by the end of the year. I mean every vehicle even folders and spading everything. I decided to go with China because I had never played it and their mbts look pretty cool. The lack of proper lineups makes it a pretty rough grind but I'm almost at 6.7. I really miss more convenient tts like Germany and its high performing guns.

there is a reason almost everything with 105mm has the same reload they all use the *same* 105. the L7. The only L7 without the same 6.7 second reload is the Vickers Mk.1, which seems to be a balancing thing they've long-since forgotten about. Since France makes its own guns, the L7's reload rate doesn't apply. Gaijin just made it longer because they hate France probably

Hey we do have 105mm tanks with a 6.7 second reload... Like the AMX-32 (105). Which was outright stated in the devblog to reload faster than the AMX-32 (120). Which reloads at 6.7 seconds.

I believe the Vicker's mk1 has a better reload because irl it had very good ergonomics with a spacious turret and actually had a very fast reload with experienced crew as compared to most other tanks that used the same caliber gun. I think I remember hearing it set the world record for fastest reload with a 105, but I don't remember where I heard that so it may not be accurate.

for me who plays french tanks and has gotten up to the leclercs, I love the AMX-10RC. I see that it isn't the light tank for most, but I it isn't like most light tanks. unlike other light tank, AMX-10RC is more played like a sniper. as the AMX-10RC lacks any stabilizer it can't go into the fight, so it should stick to the outskirts of maps, using it's laser range finder and the thermals to look for targets. also a small note, the AMX-10RC also get's blowout panels, making it some what more survivable, and the lack of armor on the side gives you a high chance that shot's form the side will just pass trough whit out much if any damage to the tanks components or crew

@@amorack_ CTS is way superior, AMX-10RC is the best wheeled hull for sure, including higher tier ones. It only flips if you put a heavy turret and/or gun on it.

I do want to mention a comparison: Gun handling in Realistic vs Arcade. - While not having stabilizer in Realistic makes you aim for long long time, in Arcade it seemed nifty to aim. Still unstabilized but quicker on target(s).
