Free legal advice...love this series! My attorney recommended this to us as we have depositions next week! Thank you!

So I will take your tips in my pocket/ mind to be confident and relaxed. They did the wrong I am not going to allow them to twist it back to me. Im getting stronger every time I go head to head with Them. 1st civil suit EEOC UC Hearing cause they blocked UC payments and now new civil suit pro se. Listen pause pause some more and go. Ask for docs if you need to review a previous statement. Im super dyslexic and the have known since 2021 so if I look at a document it may take a while. Thank you for your reassuring content!

Mr La Garde - I want to thank you for the deposition masterclass you put out for all to listen and learn. This is the most thorough series on KZfaq. God Bless You for doing this. If you were in FL, I would have definitely used your firm for our case. Thanks once again. For someone who wants to listen to this series my advise to you is to listen to this for at least a week. I wrote and listened to all the points and I got tripped with some of the questions. You really have to listen and think because the other lawyer is doing everything he can to trip you. Good luck to everyone listening to the series. Mr Richard La Garde you are the best in your field.

Thanks so much Shanti. I'm glad the videos were helpful. All deponents should understand the process before being subjected to deposition questioning. Best of luck.

does this work in canada as well or only in the USA?
@richardlagarde541811 ай бұрын
I don't know but I have friends in the UK who use my videos to prepare their clients for testifying so I assume it would be helpful. Obviously, you would want to ask your Canadian attorney if you have any questions about the advice I give to my clients in Texas, Florida, and Louisiana.

Can an attorney still charge money for mediation or anything, if they withdraw from the case , if it was a contingency based case ?. I'm in California, and on my lease it states the loser pays the fees
@LaGardeLawFirmPCHouston Жыл бұрын
Each state has different rules about whether a contingent fee attorney can recoup his or her expenses if they withdraw from your case. It depends on the wording of your contract and the law in the state where you are located. You may want to contact the California Bar Association to see if they can help you understand your rights in California. Good luck.

Ya know, I was appreciating the advice in this series right up until you suggested "Dress as though you are going to the church." What a disgusting, egocentric, and narcissistic insult to intelligent people! You do realize there are many other religions that don't involve "church", right? And, more so, that those amongst us with a fully functioning brain, a working intellect, and actual integrity exercise honesty and wisdom of discernment and are correctly atheist? We're not all equally delusional or suffering extreme cognitive dissonance and believing in an absurd imaginary magic man in the sky or some idiotic, antiquated fairytales conjured up by primitive peoples who didn't know where the sun went at night! Oh, the stupidity!🤦♂️

If contingency fee lawyer didn't win the case, who is going to pay defendant's lawyer fee?
@richardlagarde54182 жыл бұрын
Good question Irra. It depends. If you live in a state that has a "loser pays" law or if you signed a contract which calls for you to pay the other side's attorney's fees, you would be responsible for paying the other side's attorney's fees if you lose your case. Most states do not have a "loser pays" law.

There are games that attorneys play back and forth. They try to rush questions so you feel rushed to answer. They may even have the judge state that there is only 10 minutes left to question so we need to see how much we can get in. Then the attorney asks the questions quickly and seems upset that you are taking too much time to answer. It all a show. Certain verbiage is used so that everyone in court but the clients know what is going on. Especially in Family Court.

What happens if costs and fees outweigh settlement? Victim gets nothing. That is what typically happens.
@richardlagarde54182 жыл бұрын
Madea, that is theoretically possible, but in my forty years of practice, I never saw that happen. For people who can't afford an hourly fee lawyer, the contingent fee gives them access to a lawyer.
