The King becoming humble in front of her and making her vulnerable which caused her to break her promise was a masterclass by Togashi. Pretty much proved that from the beginning he had this setup. This arc had some excess fat and Komugi choosing to die was extreme, but the payoff was legendary.

We can't know for sure Kite's rank, but he can't be a queen because those can only be produced by a king. He can't be a king either, because before a queen can produce another king, she needs to produce at least three new royal guards. Also, Kite is apparently a female now, and kings are always male. So Kite could be up to a royal guard level, but note that he was taken out of the womb too early, so it's hard to know if being a Chimera Ant would even give him any advantages.

I know you guys already watched all of season 1, but Erwin actually said in this episode why he told Levi to resupply. He asked Hange if she saw the person inside the Female Titan get eaten. Erwin, in a matter of seconds, realized the Female titan used the steam and all the dumb titans to cover their escape. Therefore, Erwin assumed (rather correctly) that the female titan would go for Eren in human form and that Levi's full skills would be needed, so Levi would need to have enough gas and blades to deal with that. Erwin is just playing 3D chess while everybody else is playing checkers 😂😂
