Back when this episode aired you couldn’t go anywhere without people talking about this episode I just remember this episode having such a huge impact on people I was in 9th grade at the time (now graduated oh how time flies) and I just remember hearing for an entire week about how Hershel was dead I had no clue on how the show would have a huge impact on all of us at the time.

Hershel loved how rick tried to handle it all, the Governer was just too far gone.

When Carl was crying about his sister that got too me especially after Hershel.

Literally one of the best episodes of the series still to this day Carl & Rick’s performance at the end of the episode when they realize Judith was eaten right out of her car seat STILL gives me chills to this day I’m so excited for you guys to continue this show I feel so bad for everyone but Carl especially because he tried warning Rick about the Governor & told Daryl he had a shot & they just lost everything Within a couple months he lost his uncle Shane had to put the Walker one down after Rick killed him lost his Mom Lori & had to put her down & now lost the prison and nearly everyone there😭

The walking dead writers don't go with the comics all the time but in the comics Lori was running with Judith and the governor shot her in the back and killed both of them

RIP Hershel and Judith. Fans were shocked, mad, sad. I know I cried horribly. Great reaction again guys

The TWD theme is always a great background after a great dramatic opening scene It just adds so much dramatic tension imo.

The good thing is, a lot more drama to come lol. and remember there is a good amount of TWD spin-off and webisodes out there 🤣

R.I.P to Hershel great character who brought so much love his theme song R.I.P to the actor Scott Wilson who played this character and who sadly passed away from Leukemia 6 years ago Oct 6 2018 Age 76 He was the ultimate voice of reason right next to Dale and R.I.P to the Governor as well who was a great villain and did a great job at making us hate him great work by David Morrissey portraying this character.

Comic Comparisons : in the comics It’s Tyreese who gets decapitated his comic counterpart is actually introduced much earlier than in the show before they get to the farm the battle for the prison goes down a bit different The Governor is presumed dead for a while before he randomly shows up at the prison gates It should be noted that the Governor never kills all of his people or burns down Woodbury so he still had an army with him him becoming Brian Heriot is completely unique to the show I can’t remember exactly but I think their first attack failed Nonetheless they eventually bust through and kill a lot of people Hershel does die in this battle in the comics but not in the same way He begs to be killed after his son is shot right in front of him and the Governor grants him that Rick tries to escape with Lori and Judith but Lori who is carrying Judith is shot and falls to the ground killing both her and the baby after the Governor successfully wins the prison Lily who was already a member of Woodbury and dealt the killing shot on Lori realizes she also killed a baby and gets mad at the Governor when the Governor shows no remorse she shoots him dead in the head after that nothing more is said about the Woodbury group.

Rip Hershel, Julio at 22:34, Luke and Molly at 23:23, The Governor has been killed, Andrea, Merle, Hershel, Axel, Oscar, Milton, Martinez, Shumpert and Julio, Julio was a newcomer of the prison group, in this episode when gunfire began, he flips a picnic table for cover and shoots at the Governor’s militia, killing at least one man, as the remaining residents runs to the bus, he turns to join them and he was shot and killed, around 22:34, Julio was one of my favorite background characters, wished he survived longer

This was a really good episode. The scene at the end where Rick says to Carl to not look back while you see the prison destroyed is apparently meant to parallel the history of Sodom and Gomorrah in the bible, when the father also tells their kids to not look back while their city is destroyed.

There's a women zombie cameo in this, at the end where she is walking into the prison, she's the woman who met rick and killed herself earlier in the season

1. This episode was really hard for me,Hershel's death was like losing a family member of my own 😓... 2. Glad to hear during editing that you caught the suicide walker 👍😎. 3. The children are responsible for the trouble with the fences as the herd of walkers kept mounting because the children were Feeding the walkers with frogs and other animals as they were hanging them on the Fences to eat... 😤🙄

I had many sleepless Sunday nights watching TWD! The show always stressed me out wondering - what next? This episode was the mid season finale for the 6 week Christmas break! I remember swearing at the tv! Merry Christmas!

Love you guys so much, rip to Hersel. I knew this was coming, but it still hits me hard. Will u guys read the comics it's different, but I gotta tell you it's my favorite read

27:17 the walker here was the same woman that rick met at the beginning of this season that stabbed herself. Yall were processing the losses and kinda missed it 😅 Also yall were paying too much attention to the kids and not to Tyreese. That's all ill say.
